Mayo no, salad dressing some, Miracle Whip YES!

Nothing beats the zesty zip of Miracle Whip!

I love Mayo, as a European living in North America they don't understand my love of this fine stuff. People look at me odd when I ask for it in a restaurant for my fries instead of the gravy that everyone in Canada seems to love with fries.

A spoonful of classic mayonnaise can add an extra 100 calories and 10 grams of fat to whatever you mix it with.

Unfortunately, regular mayo ranks among the worst of the condiment offenders, but in truth, even non-fat varieties of mayo aren?t a whole lot better considering the sugar and preservatives they contain.

Your best bet is to make a healthier version of mayo yourself by blending Greek yogurt, lemon juice, mustard, pepper and spices. Greek yogurt provides a smooth, creamy consistency and it easily absorbs flavors you add to it, so a spoonful or two is sure to be delicious.

Make this simple swap and you?ll save more than 200 calories and 20 grams of fat per quarter-cup serving. Plus, Greek yogurt is rich in protein and calcium ? a big bonus you won?t get with traditional mayonnaise.

your post forgot to mention the part where dietary fats have almost ZERO to do with fats in the body..

I use mayo all the time and have a high fat diet and have been leaner than ever doing it.

ps. no sugar in mayo..

honnestly i don't like mayonnaise, but it's far better to make your own with olive oil and an egg yolk + some lemon juice

dillonaire 02-25-2013 03:13 PM
