How much would that be in US currency?

pornguy 02-21-2013 09:55 AM

We are paying about 1.18 per L for now but its been going up for some time.

Really sad when the country sells more than 60% of its oil.

Diesel USD $1.88/ L

quebec is worse than ontario for gas prices. here in ottawa last night it was 125-127. across the river in gatineau it was 135 and no doubt more in places like montreal.

Captain Kawaii 02-21-2013 10:28 AM

gaa my bad lol thought you were in MTL

diesel here has been 10 cents over, and been steady at 1.35

just went to 1.47 :(

Heath 02-21-2013 10:58 AM

They just said the other day its steadily rose since the election was over here in the states. Makes sense though, Obama clearly hates oil companies and seeks to regulate them out of business.

Its around $3.80-$4.00 here, depends on if you're in the city or not.

NaughtyRob 02-21-2013 11:02 AM

Every year they go up in spring and summer but they definitely started early this year. At this rate they will be over $5 by summer.

Rochard 02-21-2013 11:18 AM

I have no idea what gas is here. I haven't filled up my truck in a while; It's on "E" now. My other car has a 3/4 of a tank. I don't drive very much so I don't fill up often.

Triple-A 02-21-2013 11:25 AM

Gotta laugh at Americans bitching about their ridiculously low prices compared to us pissed off Brits paying amongst the highest fuel prices in the world because our successive sly governments enjoy fucking us drivers up the ass as we're an easy target for extra tax revenue.

sick to death of it.

Politicians are scum

With the distinct air of superiority you usually like to adopt I'll say that's what you pay for an imperial gallon not the US gallon OP is referencing.

spiederman 02-21-2013 11:33 AM

doesnt matter for me if the gas prices go up, i always get only for 20 bucks anyway

it's hard to relate.. for example, we have oil everywhere.. and due to some systems it gets refined via US companies and the 'price goes up'

Diesel is the 'original product' for gasoline.. the fact diesel costs more is just mind numbing

v4 media 02-21-2013 12:39 PM

Have no idea dont drive.
5 euros to fill up a chainsaw.

crockett 02-21-2013 12:54 PM

Hey, but we will be energy independent in 5 to 8 years or what ever they claim.

They will push it up over $5/gal by this summer for a bit, so you will be used it it by next year when it will be the norm.

Same thing happened when it hit the $3 & $4 points. It gets peaked in that direction for short times when they can get away with it then by the next year that is the new norm.

Public bitches and moans then continues to fill up over and over..

Paid $1.33 for Diesel in Ontario last night for a fill up. Diesel is high right now because of the cold snap lately.. It's price is tied to the demand for heating oil.

That is something I could never understand either, just seems like another avenue for revenue....sigh.

We just got back from a road trip, filled up the Coach in Kingman AZ @ 4.25 a gallon x 140 gallons = OUCH!

Plus we topped of the 80 gallon gas tank for the generator, she took around 50 gallons @ 3.58 a gallon = oh boy....:1orglaugh

Prices have gone through the roof and since October. We took a trip from Maryland to Arizona and diesel was around 3.87 a gallon in Maryland and we did not see the price rise until we hit Texas.

that makes sense

what's disgusting tho is we're all hydro out here lol

so its YOUR side of the country screwing up OUR prices.. which is hilarious cause we do the shipping, and pay for hte transport, which makes everything more expensive for you lol

MaDalton 02-21-2013 04:40 PM

if anyone thinks that becoming "energy independent" means lower gas prices you need a reality check..

oil is traded on international markets at international market prices. BP, Exxon, Shell etc are the only ones that will win.

but keep giving them subsidies and tax breaks, they need them
