The fuck am I going to do with over 100 PS3 games,nobody will want them

I bought a PS3 the day it came out and have spent less than 20 hours using it. I wont be buying a new game system.

I'd rather spend the money upgrading my video card, and if a certain game doesnt come out for PC then that's ok, I just wont play that game.

Or maybe the console makers will finally grow a brain and allow keyboard and mouse control for the PC gamer types that simply wont play their consoles because we hate those controllers.

As a PC gamer there's nothing in that hardware that "makes me drool". Current high-end PC graphics are still a generation ahead of a PS4. It's not bad for sure but it's nothing that going to make me toss out my PC. That said, a $500 PS4 is going to be better than a $500 PC for a while.

The good thing is that PC games will only get better since game studios wont have to develop games to run on 8 year old consoles.

It's a copy of Xbox's "perfect controller"

The Ps3 was more powerful than the Xbox 360. Problem was all in coding. Xbox had better coding making it easier for programmers to make games and they ran smoother.

I'll be buying a PS4 for sure. Even though I haven't used my PS3 as much as I'd like I've always been impressed with it.

Does anyone know if the PS4 will be backwards-compatible? I have a few great PS3 games I haven't gotten around to playing yet. I'm hoping I can just sell my PS3 and play the games on the PS4.

Neither the ps4 or Xbox are supposed to be backwards compatible. They are talking about making it to where if you buy a game it can only be registered to play on one system. Sucks because I have four Xbox's and would have to buy multiple games if I wanted to play on a different counsel.

Looks cool, but I don't have time to play as much as I would like. I still have Medal of Honor Warfighter sealed. Maybe if it came with someone to work while you play then I'll get in line.

you can buy a PC/Laptop with the same specs for around 500 now....Quad Core 8GB Ram...

Specs on a game console don't directly translate to a PC though. the console is 100% coded and optimized to that hardware where the PC has an OS to run in the background and it's not dedicated.

You couldn't run PS3 quality games with 256mb of memory and video memory on a PC for example.

Not purchased a console for years, I think this one may tempt me though, no exact release date yet right? 'holiday' season in the press, what fekin holiday..

I have 200 ps3 games,that was my only concern.I read in a newspaper that ps3 games eventually can be played on a ps4.

I'll be waiting to see how they plan to put the games out with all the rumors floating around about disabling the use of used games, all digital download, etc. I'm sure not showing the actual console itself is either due to not having the end design decided on or they're still figuring out how to put all the parts into the casing itself.

Think there's been some mentions as well about the possibility to play ps3 games but most likely though an online cloud type service only. *shrug* Didn't look into it, just had a friend mention it over skype last night while he was watching

All that being said, it'll be interesting to see what sort of PS exclusives are going to be announced along the way to release. Really interested to see what Square Enix has in store though.

That whole registration issue and not being able to play used games on this new system were a rumor. Youll be fine buying a single copy :)

Yup, just saw an article where it was stated very clearly they're not blocking used games :) I'm all for full price/brand new games to support developers but I like to be able to swap/trade with friends to play something else now and again too. Glad this is still going to be possible.

Console vs PC, for me anyway --- has nothing to do with graphics vs graphics. We all know that the average PC can smoke any console in the graphics department.

It's all about comfort and convenience while gaming. I love kicking back on my couch with a wireless controller and a giant HD tv, which at the right distance makes the graphics disparity not that bad.

While Crysis 3 is going to look much better on the PC, I definitely AM NOT going to be sitting at my computer playing it for 5 hours, after I just spent 10 hours working on my computer. I'll take the PS3 version. I can also rent the ps3 game from Redbox and finish it in a week for 14 bucks, as opposed to paying $50 for the PC version, and loading it on my hard drive, etc. Fuck that.

I've been trying to play less games lately, and focus on my business -- but as someone who has been video games from the beginning with an Atari 2600, and almost every big console after that -- video gaming is better than its ever been and its about to take another giant leap when these new console gens come out. It sucks that's happening when I'm trying to cut back.

Man, I feel the exact same way. After working in front of a computer screen all day the last thing I want to do is relax and play a game on the same computer screen. I need a comfy couch and a wireless controller. This is why I'll always be a console fan.

It's not like we think the graphics are better, because we know they're not. But if you really like video games --and I mean a big fan, not the casual gamer who plays every Call of Duty game -- you're not caring that much about graphics. A good game is a good game, regardless of the graphical quality.

Damn straight. Hell, I play my original NES and Super Nintendo all the time still 'cause the games are just so amazingly fun.

I own ps3 and I'll probably buy ps4 as well...some day.
