A IBill non-payment solution

As I promised a month ago here is what I did.

1. I got all the members info from CMI
2. I cancelled all rebills with IBill
3. I send personalized emails out to all members including name and sub number
4. I offered following deal:
- You resubscribe to any of our sites using new biller you get 2 month of refunds.
- You rebill at least once you get another 2 refunds.
- Simply reply to the email and include the new trans number and get the refund
5. Start collecting money from IBill without them paying you.

I said that this is valid for only one month so its running out now and can be made public. I recovered a lot of rebills this way but not as many as I expected. I guess there are to many people out there sending email promises but I would say every rebill I got back was well worth it.

are they really that bad?

:(

damn. I guess it narrows my list of processors down.
Im activly looking, and ibill looks nice, but these fucking horror stories keep pushing me away.

There are just so many of them.

As long as they are paying you you they are fine. But when a company still collects from your members and don't pay out the money you will turn on them very fast. The only ways to get some of that owed money in my view was either sueing (which is risky due to the low debt) or going the way above.

I just got an info from a member. He tried to get an IBill refund himself because I cut him off when I cancelled all accounts. IBill refused to give him the refund. This is interesting due to the fact that IBill used to grant refunds to everyone that called

I spent YEARS waiting on ibill to "work it out"

Same here, please don't ever use IBILL. They look great to start with but once you sign up they forget all about you.

The only company's worth looking at are Epoch who have the best Tech and Customer service and CCBill as a great backup processor.

Its like this if you only process five or ten sign-ups a day it doesn't matter who you use anyone can handle that, its when you get up there at 50-100 sign ups is when the trouble with IBILL starts, Their software is fucked up, the CMI is always down Check 2 dose not work with Netscape 7 so you lose 3% possibly 4 % of you potential sales. IBILL used to be the biggest in the adult business now its Epoch. Just give Amparo a call. She will hook you up and the tech guys get back to you to sort out any problems within an hour or less. We have been in this business for 7 years and used many processors EPOCH rules if you use IBILL then don't come back here crying about it later on when they treat you like shit.

Ive been with Ibill since they first started taking credit cards and Ive never had a problem with them once with getting paid. and I clear over 100k a year from IBILL easily!.

Now I will admit the tech support isnt the brightest and thier favorite thing to say is "Please Bear with me" they love that call them sometime and they will say that to you when you ask them a question they have to look up..

But as far as getting paid they are on time every time. I have my funds direct deposited into my bank account as well..

I dont think IBILL will be going anywhere they just got bought out by some huge company and they are running strong for some time to come..

All I know it that being a division of a muti billion dollar publicly traded banking company has to have some benefits. Their stock also jump 25% today. If anyone one is going to be left standing it will be iBill because of their power and infulence. Can't wait till they launch Next Gen.

boneprone 02-21-2003 07:47 PM

tech support is very important to me.

Im a fucking dumbass and need all the tech and programing support I can get.

The last thing I need is to hook up somewhere that has bad tech support. In fact im looking to hook up with a processor that can hook me up with as much programing and tech support as humanly possible.

We're beta testing NextGen and it kicks ass. The people doing the development of it are great to work with. They take phone calls and return email within a couple of hours.

In our case our signups plunged and they kissed a bit of ass to get us back.

PornoBug 02-21-2003 08:13 PM

The only reference I can give IBill is that they owe us money. Despite emailed promises that we would be paid , we haven't been paid.

Too many other non EU and US webmasters I know have the same story.

If 20 people told you that food at a particular restraunt was bad or inedible, would you eat there ? IBill may be publicly traded but so was Enron, Worldcomm and many other failures. In any organisation flaws can develop that undermine the whole show.

IBill are inept and there are hundreds of examples of this I can cite over 4 or more years.
