Funny conversation i heard today
I was out having lunch today when i heard something that amused me. This guy was ranting to his friend at their table about how he had to pay extra money a few weeks before at the airport because his suitcase was a little over the limit weight allowance.
He said he didn't mind the charge so much, but the fact that his wife who he basically said was a fat fuck and didn't have to pay anything extra annoyed him more. :1orglaugh "Why should i pay more because of the weight in my case, when that fat bitch weighs more than 2 of me put together" I tried not to laugh out loud, but i needed that morning laugh anyway. And i suppose he had a very good point. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh http://www.newleafhealthcare.org/ima...%20-%20Fat.jpg |

Something like this you mean ?? :1orglaugh |
i think person and luggage should be weighed together and everyone is allowed to weigh 200 lbs for example. then women can carry all their clothes and fat people need to pay extra anyways

so, if the average is 220 pounds per person (including luggage) it's $12,500 divided by 22,000 pounds, or 57 cents a pound. that way fat people pay more. So, I weight 225, and usually have 50 pounds of luggage, (275 total) my wife weighs 115 and brings the same 50 pounds (165 total) my ticket would be $125 + $.57 X 275 or $281.75 my wife's $125 + $.57 X 165 or $219.05 but that would never happen. also, maybe it is just a coincident, but if you look at the normal price $250 and compare it to the method I used, and bring someone skinny, you end up paying the same overall, lol (average ticket with the above method for me and the wife was $250.40 |

I don't know what a "fair" solution would be, but all i know is it can't be fair to charge people for a suitcase being overweight, when someone who is overweight themselves doesn't have to pay a charge. If weight = Fuel, then i'm actually very surprised they haven't tried to introduce something before. Unless of course they worry about offending half the country. :1orglaugh |
Why so fattist, bro?

We get it, you don't like fat people. Franck doesn't like black people, and someone else doesn't like white people. Stop being such a prejudice fuck, because it hurts you more than it does the person you're being a dick too. :2 cents: |

discrimination would be charging someone more because you don't like the color of their skin, or you don't like the fact that they are fat. This is charging someone more because it costs more to service them. It's the way the world should work, and it is perfectly fair. if an elevator will hold 12 people or 1500 pounds, and I am on it with just 6 people who weigh 200 pounds each and some 750 pound behemoth wants to get on with us, am I discriminating against him when I ask him to wait for the next elevator? is the correct thing to do let him in and risk the lives of all 6 of us because he puts the mass 450 pounds over limit. The elevator clearly states that it will hold 12 normal sized people, so obviously I am a racist bigot discriminator? I just went shopping for a new jacket. Like I said, I am fat, so I went to the big and tall store. Unfortunately I am not quite big enough, so I have to go to the normal stores and check out the few 48's they have in stock. At most of them, the same jacket in a 48" is about 20% more than it is in a 38". Is that discrimination, they want to charge me more just because I am fat? Or maybe is it because there is 20% more material in the jacket I need. |

Other people then gave their opinion on the matter. Welcome to how a message board works. I still didn't put anyone down. You have made 271 posts since 2004. Yet all i can see these past few days is YOU trying to insult people and getting your panties in a twist. So go look in the mirror and take your meds, asshat... |

The simple answer is fly first class. Not only do you get free checked luggage, the restictions are 70 pounds per piece instead of 50, and I've never seen a huge fatty in first class. I can't believe people still fly steerage. :1orglaugh
