If you get reported, otherwise Facebook isn't coming looking for you.

Got a link to your page?

sojproductions 02-18-2013 07:30 AM

it doesnt take long for FB to ban you, we've done it several times, only got one page still up, waste of time which can be spent better elsewhere - twitter on the otherhand is great for posting updates, free pics etc etc, and they are adult tolerant

adultmobile 02-18-2013 08:39 AM

I have put a google +1 button instead, a few clicked it, who knows maybe it will be useful or maybe not, but it is free to add it.

grzepa 02-18-2013 09:55 AM

what do you mean fb will ban me? it'll ban the person who pressed the like button on my site.

Yanks_Todd 02-18-2013 10:04 AM

I have never added one. I just think its a matter of respect, one accidental click can do so much damage there. As much time as I spend on adult sites, it scares the hell out of me that I will accidentally like some crazy page while I am logged into my personal account while waking up my computer. Yikes!!

They'll ban you as the owner and your page afterwards. Actually they would first shoot a warning fire with those "no posting and no messaging" bans if you spam other people and send too many requests.

nico-t 02-18-2013 05:20 PM

you guys are confusing having an actual facebook page with porn with what the OP meant: Just putting 'like' buttons on your own porn site.
Or is facebook's power reaching so far already they can ban the site you own :error

trevesty 02-18-2013 05:41 PM

I've gotten okay traffic from Facebook(relatively speaking). Twitter and G+ has much more positive results, though.

Lots of creative site owners use softcore tours with heavy branding so they can promote their adult sites on non-adult friendly sites. Shockingly enough, people will still actually type-in a site name or URL into their web browser :)

We added FB/Google + and Twitter buttons to the default tour templates of the Elevated X CMS over a year ago so people could like and share trailer video links. Feedback has been positive.

To like a page there has to be a business page for the page you are liking in the first place, that business page is what they close, then there is nothing to like.

Jakez 02-18-2013 11:39 PM

Confusing the hell out of me. I have the little "like button" on all pages of one of my sites. And people do click it.. as far as I know on Facebook it will either post for them that they liked it and provide a URL to the page, or it will be in the "liked things" section of their Facebook.. where does this "ban" come into place?

This.

Not everyone wants their grandmother to know they just fapped to african albino midget tranny porn.

crissa 02-19-2013 12:26 AM

Most of the people that watch porn won't give a Facebook like or twitter or anything because they don't want other people to see that they watch porn and what they watch

I'm not sure what they are talking about either.

They like the link? Ok, I wasn't aware of that, I thought (and facebook has only offered this and I didn't see other options anywhere) you need a page to like, not an external site. My bad.

Most people don't click likes but most people don't sign up either. So why not do it?

I do think it might look bad if it turns out you have mostly 16 year old kids that like your page.

adultmobile 02-19-2013 07:52 AM

Anf anyone got issue with google +1 buttons? I have put that one only.

newB 02-19-2013 01:09 PM

So does anyone here make use of the facebook / digg / myspace buttons down below?
