Pay Per Click Search Engines...

Pay Per Click Search Engines...

Does anyone have any resources/sites that may help me better understand if PPC SE's are worth it for certain industries.

I noticed Overture has set their minimum to $.10 and I noticed alot of sites that sell cheap products have minimum bids set at something like $.30. I can't see how they can profit.

Say your average net profit is $10 per item, you'd have to have 1:100 conversion ratio...

Does anyone know the ideal conversion ratio for targeted SE traffic is for most products?

I run a novelty store and trying to generate targeted traffic.

http://www.sex.com and its sister http://www.GalaxySearch.Com has minimum bids starting at $0.03. Our conversion rate for adult varies between 1:30 and 1:250 on average.

Gary,

Are GalaxySearch results powered from Sex.com or are they two seperate entities? Where does GalaxySearch get its traffic from?

http://www.sex.com and http://www.GalaxySearch.com are different in a couple of ways:

* http://www.sex.com is adult only. http://www.GalaxySearch.com is non-adult only.
* http://www.sex.com and http://www.GalaxySearch.com - go mostly to the same affilaites, but some affilaites want adult only and some want non-adult only
* http://www.sex.com has backfill, http://www.GalaxySearch.com is sorted by net commission
* http://www.sex.com has many more countries with country only traffic such as http://France.sex.com and http://UK.sex.com.
* http://www.sex.com gets much more traffic

I forgot to mention, I meant PPC in general not adult sites...I run a novelty (as in (not sex) toys, gags, etc)
