moo.com screwed me in the booty hole...

I order the new luxe biz cards from moo.com for my trip to new orleans on monday - they sent me off center disasters no design guy would ever distribute - they did the right thing and gave me a full refund - just sharing my experience - be careful out there.

I had pretty shitty results with Vista Print as well, using one of their "higher quality" papers. You could make those fuckers on a 30 dollar inkjet from hell mart.

Red Ezra 02-08-2013 12:27 PM

I am convinced that local printing ia the only way to be sure that someone actually has some sort of quality control in place with your best interests in mind - these cattle call printers have not been satisfactory for me and I am done with them.

Vista print are the suckers of satan's big cheesy cock.

Moo, on the other hand, I've used for about, shit, 6 years or something, since they started here. Utterly brilliant results each and every time. Fantastic customer service. I recommend them to everyone.

Just for balance.

:)

I've also been using Moo for a long time and I've never experienced any type of issues with them. Always spot on. But damn that Vista Print - they royally fucked up my biz cards.

I started using Moo at the request of a client, never a problem, everyone was happy. Never tried Vista though...

I have been using a Printing company that I love, but this last time was very bad customer service.

I sent in the order on 12-28-2012
I received the cards on 1-30-2013
First I was told the PSD's did not upload.
Then quality control found "spots" on the cards, so there were being reprinted.
When I got the cards the order was still wrong, they were done in Matte.
They were to be Glossy / coating on the front and no coating on the back.
so, I think most customer service has gone downhill for most companies

where would you guys order some cards at where is a nice price for some?

i still walk my print stuff, banners, cards, etc. into kinkos. i get to see the proof right there and usually done in 3hrs or less. plus open 24/7.

i loved the facial expression of the clerk when he saw my 115mb file for a Swingers Banner I designed for a party. banner came out awesome...

PornoMonster 02-08-2013 08:35 PM

5000 full Color front and back
14pt or 16pt -- Thick
Glossy UV Coating or Matte Finish or Spot UV
If you have your own design $175 Plus shipping.

I get the 16pt, and UV on both sides, hella thick...

I go with old school local printers.. You get to handle the card material, see samples, feel.. Its worth the extra dosh.

NFC, no?

A friend of mine works for a print shop. I know I'm not getting the best price in the world, but I think it's fair, and I know that she makes sure the end product is correct. I'm fine with paying a few more dollars the first time around as opposed to ordering two or three times with printers that don't care.

Just anecdotal but I have had great results with overnightprints.com . It's just standard business cards but they use the 15 point (I believe) card stock, full color and glossy on both sides. They always look wonderful as does everything I order from them.
