Thief got stuck in the chimney

A 24-year-old man tried to break into a Santa Catarina restaurant in the early hours of Wednesday morning at Balneario Piçarras. He got stuck in the chimney of the kitchen oven.

At around 5:30am, witnesses reported to police that a man entered the property through the roof. When the police arrived, they found the man stuck in the chimney.

Firefighters were called to rescue the young man. After being removed from the chimney, he was taken to a police station. The young man later on had been discovered to have a criminal record for theft, threat, slander and domestic violence.
