Who is running linkspun now?

I know Amerinoc is hosting it, but who has the say?

It's time to step it up. I would like to take it over and do what needs to be done... or whoever is running do it. Vrocks... is it you? Let's step this up. We need a premium section and within that section searches and requests need to be lightning fast.

Just let me know what is up, I can certainly invest some funds, or you. But if you collectively take a poll on the quality of trades, the poll will indicate that linkspun trading has gone into the shitter.

Frank21 02-08-2013 01:33 AM

i have a linkspun account. wanna trade some links?

Kolargol 02-08-2013 01:52 AM

I receive 10-20 requests / day and 99.9% are shitty, irrelevant sites with no real content or PR.

Google Expert 02-08-2013 02:33 AM

It's better to start with completely new service which will have feature like filtering of bad/quality trades. In shortly, linkspun is obsolete asthunderball was before and there is a need for new service which will compatible with panda/penguin changes.

How do you do that? Filter bad trades?

You could start by ranking sites by:

- Pagerank
- number of incoming links
- number of outgoing links
- alexa rank (or some other traffic rank)
- IP scans (to see how many sites are on the same ip)
- webmaster feedback rank

etc.

I agree:2 cents:

Oh and good luck trying to close your account... it's bloody impossible, even if you talk to the admin - he just redirects you to some forum posting basically saying your an idiot.

On another note, Google hit my network hard after starting LinkSpun, after removing all the link trades from LinkSpun off my network, I got my traffic back.

What's funny is my account CLEARLY says "Closed - don't submit any link trade requests - they will all be denied" and I still get like 20-30 requests a week. The place is clearly infested.

Service is complete shit - don't even start.

LS works, you just need to know how to use it. If you trade with crappy sites with 5 blog posts and 150 footer links it's to be expected it will more harm than help.

I haven't signed onto Linkspun in months now. Keep receiving emails about requests but have yet to check them. Most of the requests I've been receiving are nothing but spam pages and every time I search for new trades, it's the same thing. Seems like it has been flooded with nothing but junk sites. :(

TrashyGirl 02-09-2013 08:46 AM

weeding out subdomains and free hosted sites needs to be a sort feature:2 cents:

Well even trading crap with crap serve the purpose, but that causing a lot of potential quality traders to give up using service. It's like digging thru pile of shit to find something useful.

The Germans and Turks have taken over its 80% cams and from what I see they place their sites in every category, its a total mess. I agree with you that someone should start off a different service that has certain principals and rules set in place and most of all only sites in English language.

Same here. I am getting sick of it.

I wouldn't mind paying a monthly fee IF they could check out the sites that are getting listed... All the same shitty splogs...

I did say I wanted to buy linkspun and then turn it around. Just wondering if you read that?

Put that aside, what programming skills do you have? It sounds like you can program a new trade site. If so, maybe we should talk. mjmj00 aol

I stopped using it when it became nearly impossible to find anything of value to trade with.

Yes indeed you said it but problem is , owner is missing, and it's not clear current status of linkspun(seems it is alive only because of amerinoc good will).

I have a sufficient programming skills to make whatever is needed.
