I use BOA too, have for over 3 years and have never had a problem. They know what I do and even gave me a small biz loan for $15,000.

I take my sponsor-cheques to my bank for deposit once a week. From time to time a teller will ask me (just out of making conversation) how I come to get all these cheques. I always say that I sell internet traffic from my websites to those companies. The end.

Your bank doesn't need to know how you make your money or from whom your funds come from. If they think the do, then they are too fucking nosey, and you should bank elsewhere.


I have a mortgage with my bank too, and have had loans with them in the past, and they know I've also brought other business to them as well.... so they are inclined to keep their mouths shut where my income is concerned, if they want to keep my business. If a bank crosses me once, I'm not likely to forget that come mortgage renewal time.

I would like to know what banks are booting you. I truly can't believe that, banks are typically a "little" more greedy than that...

We use USBank. No problems ever.

BOA here as well.. Although they did look at me weird and ask a bunch of questions they did open the account.

I'm sure the Kiddies don't realize that in order to open a business account you need a DBA for the business and the name/nature of the business.

If your putting the funds in your personal account no biggie.

I had a fucked bank in LA turn me down for a corporate checking account once. Gave the girl a $60,000 opening deposit check, going through the paper work, everything was looking good, then she said what type of "communications" business do you have. I said with a laugh "Phone Sex". She gave me a fucked up bankers look and then said she wouldn't be able to open an account for a business involved in pornography.

How can your bank find out you are in the online porn business? It's not like the checks we get from sponsors are named "The Gaping and talking asshole company".

Simple you don't tell them, or you lie about it if they ask.
Its only when you tell them that you get in trouble.

Although someone my bloody Cayman islands account found out I was in some way affliated to a porn website, they do lots of checks I guess. Maybe they went looking on Netsol or something. We made up some bullshit domains saying we own gaming sites and just a couple of the banners we post may of had softcore porno on our gaming sites. But we said we don't have anything to do with porno directly. (big lie).

They still kicked us out and gave us 3-4 weeks to move our bank account to a new bank.

Just dont' tell them you work in porn its a headache..

I have never had any problems with any bank cashing my porn checks.

I seriously doubt is the problem of cashing checks. I think he's talking about opening up a merchant account to process credit cards and so forth.

In Vegas and using Wells Fargo here 8 months...but Wells Fargo period for 3 years and never a single problem with them.

Every Canadian bank I've used has cashed checks and didn't care.
Even with some memos on the checks indicating it was adult related.

Porn is as legal as any other business, banks can't discriminate against a business as long as it is legal. I've never had 1 single problem with any checks, wires or any other method of banking, and YES all my banks know exactly what I do. I run all Legal businesses, and could give a rats ass where a check comes from or says on it. It's nobodies business but mine.

I cannot imagine a bank refusing a checking account for any legal business. Still there is no reason to tell them the details of your business, we are an Internet hosting and billing company. They do not need to know what we host and bill.

If it is a credit card merchasnt account you casn forget the major banks. You do need to disclose what you are doing and they will most likely turn you down.

As far as names go, I like better then I get a check from their 'Marketing' name.. or their non porno name..

For Canadians, TD Canada Trust has always been great for me, despite the fact that they know I'm in porn. Oh, and they also know that I "run the affiliate program" for several Casinos. :Graucho
