Actually he never had a problem with gun owners. That was the pundits crying he is going to take your guns away meanwhile the man signed a bill that made it legal to carry in federal parks. Yep hates gun owners.

he does not have a problem with gun owners, its just that most gun owners IQ and reading level is so low they rarely read an article completely. He has a problem with automatic assault weapon with high capacity clips. Which some gun owners read/hear as he's taking away every gun in the US.

Obama doesn't seem to care much about the lives that will be lost because people will be unable to defend themselves once guns are taken from decent citizens and then criminals have free reign.

It's real and i don't see what the big deal is.

I think Obama's camp intended for it to quell right-winged gun control fears. Like, "See? Calm down. He's not going to try and take all of your guns. He likes to shoot, too!"

True story: As we know, the right wing screamers recently really ramped up the 'obama is coming to take all your guns' line. As soon as this started, my wingnut father called me up saying he wanted to buy a gun because *grumble grumble obama grumble*.

Another true story: Same thing happened about 3 years ago, when the screamers were screaming that massive hyperinflation was coming next week. Dad calls me up "you better refinance that variable-rate mortgage into a fixed NOW! Massive inflation is gonna hit any day now!"

As someone who follows economics, i knew rates were actually headed lower, so i politely ignored him. No point in trying to inject facts into the bubble.:1orglaugh

this whole 'assault weapon ban' is, well, confusing considering crime rates etc
