Meet Kai - the new internet sensation. Best FOX TV interview ever

In an interview with KMPH, the hitchhiking homeless man -- identified only as Kai -- detailed the crazy scene that unfolded in Fresno, Calif. on Friday. Suspect Jett Simmons McBride allegedly ran his car into a African American Pacific Gas and Electric worker, pinning him to his truck. Bystanders said McBride was yelling that he was Jesus Christ, here to save the world from "black people."

But McBride didn't stop there. He reportedly turned on bystander Tanya Baker, who was trying to help the PG&E worker, and wrapped his arms around her in a violent bear hug.

That's when Kai swooped in with his hatchet.

"A guy that big can snap a woman's neck like a pencil stick," Kai says in the interview (above). "So I f--king ran up behind him with a hatchet. Smash, smash, SUH-MASH!"

The melee kept McBride's alleged attacks at bay long enough for police to arrive. He was charged with attempted murder and taken to the Community Regional Medical Center for an evaluation, ABC News reports.

Mcbride is now being held at Community Regional Medical Center on attempted murder charges.

His bail is set at $1 million.
