I use fastpagerank.com
It will show you fake/real

Fake/Real Indicator: Real
Total Backlinks: 0
Unique Domain Backlinks: 0

Also, a "fake" pagerank is something you would have to do intentionally. It's a hack people do with iframes or something to try and sell domains for more than they are worth.

Even a site with a page rank will lose that page rank the moment the content is changed.
So buying a site for page rank isn't as good idea as first appears.

Yeah, I'm not sure how you wouldn't know if it wasn't fake or not?

I have low ranking Alexa site with a long standing pr3 it really doesn't mean squat when other sites with no pr rank rank higher in alexa (lower number). If you haven't tried to fake it is likely real.
