Anyone here use CCleaner?

And if so, did you have any difficulty accessing adult sites (GFY, sponsor programs, etc) after applying the latest update (3.27.1900)?

sandman! 02-04-2013 08:17 PM

havent used that in years...

mineistaken 02-04-2013 08:17 PM

I have it installed, all good, but I installed it month ago so probably not the very latest you are talking about

johnnyloadproductions 02-04-2013 08:48 PM

Installed on Mac and PC, I use it every other week.

Perhaps the two are unrelated, but I applied the latest update today and shortly thereafter had difficulty accessing a good chunk of the internet. I uninstalled CCleaner, restarted, then reinstalled the previous version and everything appears to be working fine now.

Just something to keep in mind for those who do use it, should you likewise experience issues.

it shouldn't give you any problems since CCleaner doesn't run in the background. It's fine on my Windows 8 machine

AdultPornMasta 02-04-2013 09:11 PM

I have never has CCleaner block anything and I use the latest versions. Of course I do not save passwords on the box or use the "Remember Me" feature on any website.

:2 cents:

I love that software.
I don't see how it blocks anything though.

JamesM 02-05-2013 12:23 AM

i use it , but i run it once a week or so, haven't faced problem yet.

Antonio 02-05-2013 12:58 AM

use it all the time and it doesn't block anything, I haven't updated to the latest version though, so the notification a few days ago and ignored it

BIGTYMER 02-05-2013 12:59 AM

Just ran it last night. All is fine for me.

GARY LEE 02-05-2013 03:34 AM

Klen 02-05-2013 03:39 AM

Try KoshyJohn MemClean smaller footprint - for us, works much better - frees memory - with no performance impact ;)

ccleaner will just clean your cookies and historial. There is not reason to have difficulties accessing to any site. Im using the last version on mac and pc.

Yes, I realize that if it were working as it should then there would be no reason for me to have the issues I was having. Perhaps something funky happened when it was unpacking/installing or perhaps the issue was due to something else entirely. It just seems less than coincidental that after everything else I did (restarting, updating/scanning my AV, disabling non-essential programs that might have been trying to update or otherwise access the internet, etc) with no result, it was only after I switched back to the prior version that the problem suddenly ceased.

All the same, I think I'll get my work done for the day before I try to update it again.

BTW, it's an XP machine and I don't use Chrome so I always deselect that download option.

We use it at the of, no problems at all here.
