99designs.com Any Good?

Has anyone used 99 Designs https://99designs.com or any other 'design contest' sites?

I need a great logo for a new mainstream venture... wondering if they are worth using..

Any info is appreciated, Thanks!

Sent you info about a designer I've worked with in the past. Great prices, reliable, flexible. :thumbsup

How does $5 sound?

I've used this guy for over 10 logos recently and each one looks like it would be priced at $150-$300 each. Hell of a deal.

I use 99 regularly and they are great. Last project had over 500 entries!

99 Designs is owned by the people who own SitePoint forums and Flippa.

Their offices cover several levels of a pretty big building in Collingwood just down the road. Solid Aussie business.

LOVE the work I had done there. I think I have done a dozen or so projects. All awesome.

Are these sites ok with doing adult?

99 Designs failed horribly. I ran a $300 contest and got back a dozen or so horrible designs that looked like clipart. I ended up getting a refund and going with a private designer.

Paid $500 for a logo a few weeks ago. Am completely satisfied with it and it's perfect to represent my company :)

Never tried anything adult related though.

Seems the Aussie's also own Envato which encompasses tutsplus along with themeforest and codecanyon I believe. Sounds like they have the majority of the marketshare.

I have used ffiver and got some awesome logos. I have also used Logocompany.net with amazing results.

I use www.brandsupply.com , designers are more eager and willing
