AmeriNOC Virtual Hosting sucks
every day minutes of downtime....99,9% uptime my ass
I'll have to move or upgrade if I want to run a biz... is that some kind of extortion? |
are you going over the set limits ?
|
What plan are you on?
|
so sign up for some other $10 hosting to "run your biz"
|
AmeriNOC Virtual Hosting - $142.80 USD Biennially, I think it's a cheap plan.. but does it have to suck because it is cheap?

AmeriNOC is the first hosting so far with shitty cheap hosting.. so I guess I will have to upgrade
|
This is a big piece of shit... removed all my sites months ago...
Hostgator is much, much better... |

I have a MVPS1 with them. $49 a month. OK... Thats hardy baller status I grant you, but I couldn't be happier with it... However, for a mission critical dedicated server, Id use mojo... |

I think its a bit like going to McDonalds, and buying a burger from the dollar menu. A bit shit, but it does the trick. Then someone pops up and says ' The serve Fillet Steak in this other place ' But it costs a fortune, so you dont go in... But you cant live on McDonalds, and you cant afford the steak, so what do you do? You goto a 'middle ground' cafe, and get a hand made burger instead. Hence why I recommended the plan I am on. (Without a reflink) Its not mojo, but its not shit either. So if you dont want the hassel of moving, have them upgrade you to the plan I use, cause its really good :) Or dont of course - Plenty of cafes to choose from :thumbsup |
Bullshit... I used both: Amerinoc and Hostgator. Hostgator is much better with the same plan... go to sleep! :1orglaugh

I tried Amerinoc's virtual plan like 3 years ago and it sucked (random downtimes, DB issues...). Try hawkhost or hostgator.

Thread title should read: Virtual Hosting sucks

Not actually sure why its ok for people to think your service should suck if it costs less. Most of these hosting companies built there business on shared hosting... |

I've had an account at amerinoc for a lot of years. I've had some downtime and database issues recently as well. They moved me to a new server and everything has been good since then. I suggest you ask them to do that.
|
Their dedicated hosting isn't great either.
:2 cents: |
99.9% Uptime actually isn't that great, it still means 45 minutes of downtime if you calculate it over a month. Bandwidth and hardware cost money, but usually the profit margins are a bit higher on shared hosting than dedicated or VPS. Same goes for support, even an outsourced Indian or Filipino (did you know it's actually spelled with an 'F'?) will charge you over $1 per ticket just for a reply. Just get a plan that fits your needs, don't over exaggerate on resources or support if you don't need it is my advise.
|
Downtime in what way? I've got an account with them, dont see any traffic drops, which would signify downtime.
I was getting some db errors a while back with them, but not recently. |

just go with a managed dedicated server u wont have any problems
|
I've been with GotWebHost for quite a while now. Lloyd and Tanya are awesome. No problems and no down time to speak of.

There's nothing wrong with running your business from virtual/shared hosting. I have a large blog network that runs on several shared hosting accounts from 1 web hosting company and the uptime has been superb, the speed is fantastic, and I have support tickets answered within 10 to 20 minutes.
|
If you need cheapass shared hosting with 1-click wordpress setup, i would say hostgator
|
Another Amerinoc success story
