iPhone Jailbreak

Seems like a jailbreak for the iPhone 5 / iOS 6.1 (and everything else) will be released this weekend.

I've always rooted my Android phones, and am hoping that by doing so with my iPhone I'll be able to better customize it to my liking.

Has anyone done this before and if so, what sort of customizations are you able to add? I've seen a few that pretty much add basic features from Android. What other kinds of tweaks are available?

Where do you get your android phones rooted

It is different for each phone. You can more than likely find details specific to your phone here;

Jail breaking and unlocking are two separate things. You can unlock it through your carrier, if you are out of contract. You might be able to swap SIMs without unlocking.

I'm new to iPhone, so I won't be too much help there.

I would prefer a well-showered and disease free iPhone jailbait. Thank you very much.

The phone is out of contract so i cant do it through the carrier. The phone is tied to that carrier which is a pain. I used the latest versions for jail breaking to get the unlock to work but seems even after this much time the S is hard to get unlocked!

Thanks for the reply... i would never buy an iPhone as i am a Android guy so i understand why others would be not so famliar with them :winkwink:

I donīt like jailbreaking at all. I love to keep it original. There is not too much that needs to be changed imho. Iphone just works and looks fantastic.

I actually went searching today and there's actually a lot they don't do, which are added or turned on with tweaks and hacks that can only be done after jailbreaking. I was surprised and will definitely give this a go.

You can always revert back, so that's cool.
