Announcement from Paul Markham
I just got an email from Paul Markham saying that a number of people have used their model's real names on their sites. Not only is this a violation of their terms, this presents a huge moral issue - If anything happens to these girls they can be held responsible.
The model's name is released to you so you can prove the model's age, and assure that Paul Markham indeed does have permission to sell you these pictures - Not so that you can use their real names. What were these guys thinking when they did this? |
Idiots. I suppose they'd give surfers their home addresses if they were given half the chance.

incredibly stupid....
I think we need to start licensing people to get into this biz, and one of the requirments being a head check LOL..... |
reminds me of a classic Seinfeld episode
"I have one question for you. Who puts your pants on in the morning!?" |
Out of curiosity: Does he release the photos with a standardized name to use for each model?
Either way-- Pretty fucked up shit. Using a model's real name against her will isn't cool. Read your freaking contracts, people. Doesn't it bother you that you signed somethign and don't even know what's in it? |
He use's their real names on the paper work, I blew it and used three of the girls first names only on three sets,
I should have read into it more, but Matrix, Hicks Content, Phoenix, Cloud9, Butterballs, Onelick, Joker and a slew of others do not ever give out the real models name, I can't believe this info is in the paper work. Most provide the 2257 photo with the name and address blocked out, his are not. I changed the names on the sets, but according to him I broke the contract see below, "It has come to our notice that some sites are using the girl's real name. This is a breaking of our contract and the model release terms. Any site found doing this will have their license revoked so the content must be removed. There will be no refunds. Yours Faithfully Paul Markham" So I used 3 sets of 190 and now am I screwed? Regards, Kevin |

Well here is one for you he has
Veronica Zemanova Which is what Jokersx and many others also use as her "stage name" Well guess what her real first name is Veronica, so according to him I have to rename her to Mary or something? What about the other 10 sets of her that I have from other content providers? Regards, Kevin |
i got it too,it was misleading title and i thought it had to do with me and i said wtf??

Whats real funny is when other content guys use this very issue as a reason not to give out girls info to webmasters, paul spits on them. LOL
|
I got it too and I've never bought anything from them. I registered at thier site to look at the content. I replied to the email and asked why I was I was getting this and thier only reply was an email address that I don't know.
now sure what is up. |

He is doing that to protect the webmaster's ass (literally and figuratively). Expecting that the people he sells it too want to remain in strict compliance with 2257. 2257 reads that primary AND secondary producers maintain documenation of 'full name and dob' etc....although that's been heavily debated recently. For those of us that prefer to err on the side of caution Charly is doing a great thing. The problem is is that he expects the people he's doing business with have a sense of realism and are not foolish enough to do something like you did. I'm sure it was an honest mistake but come on man.... Who puts your pants on in the morning!? :-) |
As Paul use the models real name(it seems) on his content site im pretty sure most buyers assumed they were model names and just put them up without checking the documents.
Cant say i know any provider that have models real name on the store area which probably leads to buyer assume Paul do the same.... I suggest Paul M remove girls real name from his content site or he might be in violation with his own contracts visavi the models or....? Furthermore quite a few of the models he resell or sell have established modelnames which confuse the matter even more like, Like "Zuzana", "Andrea", "Jana" Kova and so on and so forth. I would not be so quick to judge anyone in this matter... |

good point...that could possibly help out by placing some 'stage names' on them in the content area.... |
i got that email too... i didnt even realize i was on their spam list... ive never bought anything from them...
|
As the .zip files from Paul includes pics of the girl holding up her fucking passport, you have to be pretty fucking stupid not to realise the girl real name. :ticking

I don't go looking at the fine print on every models passport, I get 8k a month in content and this is the first time I have seen this. Regards, Kevin |
What brilliant webmasters.
|
This has always been an issue with models, protecting their identities. Same reason why many photographers are always hesistant or reluctant to turn over all the model id info.
