Acacia lawsuits + newbies....my theory
I've been hearing alot about this Acacia. Do they go after newbies? Anyone know this? :(
My opinion? No doubt, it started as some get rich quick scheme. I bet you start seeing informercials with 'how to make a million dollars by patenting something' for only 3 payments of $49.95 start airing on tv. Make 5 mill dollars just by sending tiiiiiny little subpeonas to tiiiiny little businesses all over the world--SITTING IN YOUR ROBE AT THE KITCHEN TABLE! Lol. "I made 3 mill my first week, thanks PatentScam! :thumbsup" Mark my words. :2 cents: |
Most of the people who got the papers when I did, the one I talked to at least, were paysite owners with video previews on their tours or made it clear there was video inside.
I got the papers late Nov/ early Dec I think. One of the companies who paid was Virgin. |
I wouldn't consider Lightspeed, ARS, Holio, etc. exactly tiny business... ;) but that's just me

Hey, I don't like people making fun of Don Lapri. LOL :winkwink:
We won't know the full legality of their patents until they are challenged in court. But from reading other threads on this subject, it seems clear they are not just targeting newbies. There's some big guns in the mix there. :2 cents: |
