3 reasons "no war for oil" is a stupid thing to say
 

1. We didn't take Iraq's oil after Desert Storm

2. If we wanted their damn oil we would just buy it like FRANCE is doing right now. And they are letting their greed for oil affect their decision making process enough to want Saddam to stay in power.

3. We're not going to take over the country and make it the 51st state. We're going to set it up with its own freestanding democratic government (eventually), that will sell the oil itself and use the money for its own economy.

Three reasons why your propaganda is tired.

1. We didn't go all the way and take out Saddam in the first war, we couldn't very well take the oil with him still there.

2. We do buy oil from a lot of countries, just like France does. Some of those countries are run by ruthless evil leaders who kill their own people. The people of France are against a war, not just the government, so that argument about them doing business is beyond worthless. And, if you want to get into money issues, the UK and Turkey are taking money from the U.S. to fight the war, so I guess it really is all about money for them, right? So you probably think they are worthless trash for going to war just because of money, right? Our own allies only want war so they can get paid, right?

3. There are very few sane experts on the middle east who believe that Iraq is going to become a democratic country if we take out the current leader. There will be another brutal leader, but he will be more friendly to the west for a little while, just like Saddam and Bin Laden used to be when Bush Sr. was training and arming them.

I'm not even getting into whether we should or shouldn't go there, I'm just sick of this same Rush Limbaugh propaganda being posted over and over.
