What is a bad trade?

I always wondered something about trades and wanted your opinion on this.

Over the years people have said "Delete your bad trades and go get new ones" but in this case I ask...

Say a trade sends 50 hits per day and gives only 5 clicks out of those 50 and you send back 3 hits each day. The trade sends you another 50 the following day with the same result. Aren't you actually winning on this trade by 2 clicks each day?

Should I delete these trades or ride them while the other site sends more clicks than uniques back?

What's your opinion on this?

imho you should check for productivity .

When Donny traded stupidity for religion, it was a pretty bad trade since religion also contain stupidity.

but the productivity is better than the return ... I know this trade is bad but if the other site can live with the low return aren't I winning in this trade?

Just make a great site and you will not have to play these games:2 cents:

I'm sure the best sites have issues like this since they can't control how the trade partner sends his traffic, blindly or not ...

any big traders wanna chime on on this one?

Delete the trade.

For many reasons

Its not a site that is similar to yours so you shouldn't be sending surfers there and im sure their surfers aren't that interested in your product, as shown by their productivity.

Another reason, sure your trade script understands it's poor traffic so youre only sending a few hits back now but when you get enough traffic because you have good productivity (200%+ - which you should be aiming for closer to), you'll start oversending all trade partners which helps grow your site.

At that time, oversending that trade partner will happen. Which is something you want to avoid.

Can't grow if youre oversending people that cannot send you the quality back. If theyre sending you a few clicks off 50, that'd mean they need thousands of hits to give you a 100 clicks. Are they even big enough to be able to do so, even if they are, its not the traffic you want (it wont convert) - Also that means they'll be placed in your toplist and other trade partners will view your toplist before trading with you and seeing garbage trade partners in your list will deter them. Poor trade partners means bad outgoing prod

Another reason, not always the case, if youre getting poor prod, you probably send better prod to them because if their surfers come to you and dont click, its usually because they prefer the 1st site, so if you start sending your surfers there, they'll stay there and bookmark it. This is a common occurrence when tgps trade with tubes. Tubes send the lousy prod to tgps and tgps send all their traffic to the tubes to bookmark it and not return

Replace it with a better site. Trade with sites that look similar to yours / operate in a similar manner
