Tsunami is right on Robson so convenient.
Tojo's is in Kitsilano about 15 minutes from robson. street.

both are good choices.

hershie 02-19-2003 07:57 PM

an interesting alternative, especially if you haven't sampled yet - is Korean BBQ. There are many of these restaurants just down on robson going west down the hill towards denman street. At robson and on denman - you will see about a dozen or so.

Should I? What happens to Austin powers?

L0stMind 02-19-2003 11:07 PM

Sushi?

Well, Tojo is the best...

Tsunami is pretty decent as well - but the few times I went, there, I wasnt too happy with service... which ruined the meal.

Dont go to kobe for sushi - go there to eat some teppanyaki and such.

If you want cheap and decent sushi, come to Burnaby - Sushi garden!

And if you can handle richmond, there are at least a dozen good sushi bars...

JohnW 02-21-2003 12:02 PM

Tanpopo on Davie got shut down for a bit back in the summer for health violations...eeek.

You can't go wrong with Tsunami.

PaulSweet 02-21-2003 12:06 PM

One of the best is Kamai Royale, its on Burrard just past Alberni, across the street from the Hotel Vancouver. Everything on the menu rocks.

If you are looking for something good but a bit less expensive Tsunami Sushi on Robson, by the corner of Burrard (near the Roots store, upstairs from Rocky Mountain Chocolate) is probably the best value for the money.

If you are looking for a good all you can eat sushi place Tanpopo on Denman near Clarke is excellent. Its on the second floor.

If you want some sashimi and japanese food Gyoza King on Robson near Jervis is fantastic and they have the best Gyoza in town for sure.

Goo is also good for japanese food (not sushi though) and they have two locations on Robson.

:thumbsup
