Internext - lost iPad (Long shot, I know)

I know this is a long shot but if you don't try, etc

About 20 minutes ago, I left my iPad (like an idiot) in the bathroom across from Pink Taco. I went back but, of course, it was gone.

It is is a thin black case and has 'Sarah's iPad' engraved on the back.

The security guy wanted to review camera footage because the time span was so short but his higher ups refused because the camera was facing a bathroom door.

No, I didn't have the find thing activated. Yes, I feel like an idiot.

So, long shot but if anybody found one that fits that description, I'd love it if it was returned to me.

What do you mean you didn't have it activated? Was it brand new and never turned on?

You should still be able to setup FindMyiPhone on it as long as it's connected to a signal either Wifi or network

I can check from my phone for you, ping me on IM. Worst case you can freeze the iPad so no one can use it

It is the wifi variety but I would be shocked if it was connected. It has a screen pasword but I know that really matters very little.

If so, download the "find my iphone" app and put in your user/pass that you use for your iPad. if its the same as your iphone, its fine.

Then click on the iPad and have it send you a warning when its connected. You can also have it display a message too for the person.

I would use something like "This iPad is being tracked and property of the United States Marshall Service. Please call xxx-xxx-xxxx to return this device or we will pursue legal action."

People will get scared

if you still have the box at home with the serial number let apple know. if any one takes it in to the apple store for any reason they will take it from them and call the police.

someone should invent the ipad alarm. You place the sensor on the back of the ipad and you wear a small bracelet. When you walk more then 5 ft from the device, the braclet lights up as a warning.

not right. if you lose something and some one finds it and takes it home that is not stealing. if someone takes something from you, then that is stealing. if you leave it somewhere then that shows that you do not want it and then who ever has it owns it.

i dont feel bad when someone loses something they are irresponsible. if someone steals something then i feel bad because it wasn't their fault.

I landed in Vegas, got to the Hard Rock, and moments later noticed I didn't have my cell phone. (I never ever loose anything.) Cab was gone already. Got to my room, called my cell, no one picked up, called the cab company, left a message, and then went to boot up my lap top to email everyone and tell them I lost my cell. I get an email from my phone saying "My name is mike and I have your cell". He was over at the Rio, I went over there, offered him money, he refused.... and just happens to be looking for some place to send adult dating traffic.
