I posted this a couple of days back. Its a warning of my domain register

Dear N/A,

BEWARE OF NEW DOMAIN SCAMS

It has been discovered that yet another scam involving domain names is
being used on unsuspecting domain name registrants. The scam involves a
call from a company calling itself the "Domain Support Group." The caller
pretends that he has important information about your domain name
registrations and tries to trick you into giving him your credit card
information to register more domain names with him, or when asked more
about their services, says the computer systems are down and tries to get
your fax number to send you more information.

What is then faxed to the registrant is a ?Final Notice? that looks very
legitimate.

The other angle that they take is telling the registrant that they need to
'update some information about their domain account with them. Apparently
'there have been changes to the domain account' and they needed to fax some
information. When the registrant tells them that their domain is not
registered with them but rather someone else, so there should be no account
with them that needs updating them . Their response is 'You have an
account with the registry for that name and they have passed that account
information on to us...'

Please do not be fooled by this scam!

Remember Domain Name Systems will not call you with out identifying
ourselves as Domain Name Systems. If you receive a telephone call from
"Domain Support Group," or any other company besides Domain Name Systems,
simply hang up without giving them ANY information.

do not become a victim in this latest scam.

Thank you. They had just called me and wouldn't give me a straight answer for anything... now I know why.
