I'm a Hard Rock guy.

I travelled the world on HRC's dime decorating their Hotels and Restaurants, so I always feel "home" when I at one of their places.

If you want affordable and have a rental car or are driving check out http://www.theartisanhotel.com/

I took my gf last year and we stayed at the mirage. I really liked it. I've been to the hardrock, venetian, and a few others.

MaDalton 01-08-2013 10:43 AM

the El Cortez is cool - gives you a very authentic Vegas feeling ;)

I've stayed in the Venetian 3 times and liked it, but the staff in the casino there are dicks...

I'm personally a Ventian guy...

I've also stayed at circus circus - "Skanky!" - Treasure Island - Little light in room, & the Rio - Very nice...

My EX Wife also got fucked in the arse, by an extremely well endowed black man, at the Bellagio...

& she noted the room was very nice... :2 cents:

I love Aria.

I really like the Red Rock. It's not on the strip but it's a damn fine hotel with very nice rooms

Wow this place is slick and cheap. Never heard of it before...will def be staying there in the future. Thanks

Rochard 01-08-2013 11:30 AM

I'm staying at the Hard Rock for the show, but a week later I am flying back with the wife and we have a swank room at the Cosmopolitan with two floors. Sounds like a great get away!

Never ever do the Excalibur. I thought we made a good trade with a Boss at the time our room at the Mandalay Bay for Upgraded Seats on the plane home.

Needless to say we never got the upgrades but enjoyed all the downgrades the Excalibur provided.

Scary Elevator rides, Horrible Internet, smelly rooms.

fuzebox 01-08-2013 11:47 AM

Love staying at the Palazzo.

Barefootsies 01-08-2013 12:40 PM

I am staying at the HR for the conference. However, I do not care for it personally.

I have stayed at a number of other Vegas hotels, but the Venetian or Paris is more my style.

kristin 01-08-2013 12:53 PM

The Palazzo (Venetian's new tower) - because they are all suites and you can get them for $125/night.

Hard Rock was pretty nice too cause it's away from the craziness and in walking distance to Capriotti's sub shop. :)

THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay use to be awesome but then their rooms got trashed, fast. Wasn't worth $550/night.

Now if you get the chance ever, stay in the Parlor Suite at the Wynn. My favorite!

JerseyPuma 01-08-2013 12:58 PM

theHotel at Mandalay Bay is pretty cool and usually very reasonable. if you use your amex platinum to book on the fine hotels program they throw in stuff like full breakfast every morning, $100 spa credit, 4pm checkout, automatic room upgrade, etc. really makes it an amazing deal.

RyuLion 01-08-2013 12:59 PM

Most 3+ star Casino are good, just try it..

Pornopat 01-08-2013 01:04 PM

Golden Nugget? Weird looking hookers and uncomfortable places all around.

My preferred spot as well. I used to stay at Mandalay Bay often until they started comping me suites at theHotel.

I was there last month and paid $110/night -- room was in fine shape, insanely comfortable beds. also that place The Mix at the top of there has really awesome views of the strip.

Ross 01-08-2013 01:25 PM

I like The Hardrock, it's a decent Hotel, rooms are nice. If I'm going to Vegas on vacation I will be staying at Aria tho, it's insane.

I always used to stay at the Venetian, but tried the Cosmopolitan last year and loved it. It's pretty new, and the staff and service were excellent

Penny24Seven 01-08-2013 02:13 PM

Venetian if taking the lady, HR or MB if with the boys. They have been a great help before haha

I haven't stayed there in years, I'll admit it was when it first opened that we did.

Glad to hear it's back to good. For $110/night I'd take the rooms the way they were, just not $550/night.

I LOVE The Mix. I take clients there and have never had no complaint. They love the food and view. One of my favs in Vegas.

I stayed in that Hotel. The only benefit is the strip club across the street, but as you said it's very low priced.
