FLV or MP4 what do you use ?
 

Hello Webmasters.,

We are adding new hosted material(flv/mp4) for our site www.exgffilms.com and would like your input on which format you use .

are there webmasters whose tube sites don't allow mp4 content.
old version of Nubiles tube script doesnt allow mp4.


so just wanted to make sure before we go ahead and add promo material.

mp4 is the only way to go. Flv is so 2008

FLV is kind of dumb IMO thanks to Crapple.

Huh? Our mp4s are half the size of flvs?

.MP4 is superior in every way. No one should really be using .FLV for videos anymore.

I've been thinking about switching from flv to mp4, but isn't it a problem that firefox (and opera) can't play embedded mp4 (h264) because they don't want to pay the royalty for that format?

Almost need to offer both flv and mp4, and switch between flash and html5

iphones, ipads don't play flvs...
HTML5 doesn't mention to FLV...

definitely mp4

flv is just a container, the video inside can be H264 - just like MP4

only use flv when you want to use the extra functions like being able to click something in the video

mp4 for sure, html5 with flashfallback which plays mp4

i have checked with jwplayer and mo4 works fine in firefox.
