Best laptop tablet?
Hey, has anyone here got one of those laptops that has a touch screen and can turn into a tablet? I'm looking at a few now and am just wondering which one would be the best to buy.
Performance and battery life are important obviously, if anyone has one and can share some feedback I'd be grateful :) |
I have a little Dell Inspiron Duo. It's cute and gets the job done.
I wanted something I could leave downstairs and check my email with after hours, and also to take on vacation with me. I wanted a full keyboard. However, it takes minutes to boot up so it's a pain in the ass while watching TV although I guess it worked good enough. Trying to work with it on vacation was a pain in the ass so instead I went out and bought the largest laptop I could find. I mean, if you want something small that acts like a tablet but has a built in keyboard, this is great if you don't mind the start up time. I got a Kindle for Xmas so I've been using that and it's been working great. |
Cute is always one of the specs at the top of my list.

I agree, I think the full size Surface will be better than any tablet/computer. |

I have a Lenova x230 Tablet/Laptop, what I call a "man's man" tablet. It came out a few months ago and I picked it up. It isn't sleek and shiny like the others, but it is built like a tank (most Thinkpads are). I'm a power-user (8+ hours a day on the computer), and it handles everything I throw at it. If you are looking for solid performance, and the ability to convert to a tablet (albeit a thick one), I'd look at the x230.
