No, this isn't a thread about religious stuff, or to upset Donny "freakshow" freakshow.

Has anybody seen this movie?

It's slow as fuck but so damn interesting. The cinematic photography is truly amazing.
Every frame could be a piece of art.
The story is difficult. Not sure what to make of it.
I watched it many times and i''m pretty sure it's about femininity. The female psyche.

It messed me up when i saw it in the cinema. (edit: or is it AT the cinema?)

I was with a girl at the time and right after i left the theatre i called her and told her not to watch that movie.

I can handle a lot of nasty things in movies but this was so real...and disturbing.

It's fucked up. Hard to watch. I couldn't watch it again, I don't think. Usually I'm a sucker for thinky, dark, violent movies, but that one just went too far for me.

That part where you said, "I was with a girl at the time," if true, is proof that miracles do happen. :)

When i saw it i said to myself i'm not gonna watch it again...since then i watched it many times.
I want to understand it.
But maybe there is nothing to understand.
Maybe it's just a movie Lars von Trier made to get rid of his demons.

Read the book when I was a punk kid (??) ...

I was more disturbed that the director thought Willem Dafoe's penis was so freakishly large that they had to use a body double for him.

Apparently he thought Willem's cock was so large it would distract people from the movie.

I thought only Disney featured talking foxes.
