How much does a good reviewer cost?
 

I've got my eye on a couple of existing sites that are for sale, or I'm thinking of starting a TGP/Links List from scratch.

But I don't have time to review galleries and all that. And, since it'll be a start up site without a lot of traffic initially, giving away the top spots isn't going to get me a reviewer.

So how much cash on a monthly basis is the norm for someone to review the galleries and update a site daily?

Obviously I'd be posting my own stuff, but I don't have enough of my own to fill out a whole TGP on a daily basis.

Also there are other factors involved like getting submits with my recip on them for link popularity and all that.

Plus if its all hosted galleries and my own galleries, I doubt I'd get as many bookmarkers as I'd get if I had a real variety of stuff.

$15 per hour 2-3 hours per day tops. I've got a buddy who's girl handles his reviews, and she'll do it for that.

That's kind of pricey. I was looking at Adult Worker and I could hire a part timer for like $400 a month or something like that.

Damn...they work for less than minimum wage. Must operate out of some third world country or something :)

A parttime level one would cost you $350+$90(sat)+$120(sun)=$560

$10US/hour is about 2x more then minimum wage.

Over the last few years, I have worked for TGPs such as Thumbzilla, the AdultBuffet, and JJJs - and I was never paid to do reviews. I was given a set number of listings on each update.

Now, I am running my own TGP, Turboface.com - and just do all the reviews myself.

However a new site you'd have to do some fancy talking..LOL
Check out Shane at EZ4U they have a webmaster url you can get free norecip listings daily..

I'd say that's a pretty good deal, and you're not going to beat it anywhere. Especially if you want to outsource. Major companies do it all the time. The US and European workers won't work for those wages...so send it south of the border. If it works, it works.

Interesting!!!!!! I've done it for a few small ones years ago and do it for Jasara and Buffet now..Been doing Buffets for over 3 years..Have someone else doing them for my TGP...

I started doing for JJJ's last year, I did it for 6 months, the rest of the tgp's i did for a short time.
Now I just review for my own tgp. But I need extra $$$ so I would love to review for Lenny.

candyflip - I didn't mean to suggest your friend deserves min wage or anything like that.

Nice to see some actual numbers - I'd often wondered about how much these folks get paid myself.

The good listings thing makes sense - good way to get a leg up in the biz. But Cash $$$ is good too - nice to see there are some boundaries sort of set up here.

Like I said, I haven't bought anything yet so I don't have a job for anybody...LOL

I was just wondering what the overhead would be before I put money into something is all.

Someone I know just showed me a site they had for sale and walked me through the review process with auto gallery sql. Looks like it'll only take about an hour or so a day.

I make a good buck from the 2 main page listings a day in Buffet ...
Some reviewers even sell tham on the side...
They just changed their review script and it's alot easier now..

I also add a Recip for my TGP and get a shitload of traffic from them from the personal gallerys I add

It'll take ya longer than that to list enough daily, plus you have to check your site alot as too many Webmasters are Assholes and when they see traffic from the URL they change it into a popup, redirect hell and ya have to pull it..And Blacklising the Domain doesn't help because they buy them 100 at a time..The sites like Offshore that pay per click nomatter how ya send them should be strung up by their nuts and roasted!!!
Soon most TGPs will be taking Partner listings only and those you don't have to review....

I've thought about that. I'll definitely need a script of some sort to crawl through the links and check for redirects and exe's and shit like that.

Partner listings are cool, but a small TGP won't be able to do that, not enough traffic to make it worth the hand submit for the gallery maker.
As for galleries you don't have to check, sponsor hosted galleries are fucking killing me as a full time gallery builder :feels-hot

You people that keep offering me gallery databases are missing the point.
I'm building a traffic pump. I'm not looking to make money with this thing in the short term. As a matter of fact I'll probably blow a nice wad of cash on traffic to get it started.

I want different galleries than the ones all the "fake" TGP's are listing. I need bookmarkers and I need all of those 1000's of autosubmitted (ugh) galleries everyday because they'll have a recip on them for link popularity.

Lenny I understand exactly what you're saying but there are some things you need to consider.

#1 Diabolical's Galleries are listed on "REAL" TGP's not "FAKE" ones.

We build our galleries daily.

Some people are making really nice cash just throwing a couple of our galleries into the mix each day and giving them a nice spot on their tgp. I have one wm I know is doing over $1K a week just listing a couple of galleries a day.

One of the TOP TGP's in the world uses our galleries as fillers and when I finally met him at Internext he told me loved our program it was "free cash."

#2 So you buy traffic you still won't have necessarily enough to give a tgp submitter a reason to put a recip on your gallery.

So you're stuck with the auto-submissions.

Now you must deal with the cheats, the redirects etc.

You want bookmark traffic. that will be a problem when your surfers are being redirected to pop up hell...and yes they will be.

#3 I understand about the link popularity as well, but once again if you offer shitty galleries from autosubmits it doesn't really matter.
I remember a comedian talking about a company who was advertising these god awful ugly suits for sale at half off.
His response...."HALF OFF OF SHIT IS STILL SHIT."

You have at your disposal 3 systems I have already pointed out to you, as well as a number of others that are being created if not weekly now, daily that are nice programs that offer the TGP wm nice quality galleries without the fear of being cheated.
