Where is Ray from Strongbox?

Anyone heard of or talked to Ray from over at bettercgi Strongbox? We have been emailing him for a few weeks now with no response, as we have pre-purchased a bunch of site licenses for strongbox installs and need to get some of those installed now. Since we already paid them, Im hoping we can get in touch with them to work something out.

Look for the latest political and/or Obama thread. You can find him there.

Bump.

Ray, we are still having the issue with Singapore customers able to login. Finally got one email from Elias but nothing resolved yet. I have to refund everyone who joins from there. :-(

Please get back up on the horse, you customers need you.

If i would have such problem, then i would improvise by making an alternative login form specially for them.

Huh...still nothing. Well, I guess Pennywize here I come?? If you guys from pennywize or another user security script firm are out there, hit me up to make a multi-site deal.

In the mean time, I hope I get a refund from Ray??

UPDATE...

Ray and Ali finally followed up with us, and got a new site system up and running within a few hours. Not sure what the issue was, but you are right, IMHO their product is rock solid and has great potential. I encourage CCBill to look at buying their company and setting this up as the standard CCBill install process, that would be a smart acquisition and they would be offering their customers something that needs to be standard.

I wish I knew how to do that. Strongbox is not completing their IP address so none of them can get past Strongbox due to the incorrect IP, yet it logs them as a "good user" while not permitting access at the same time. Strange problem. Billing and host see their IP correct but for some reason Strongbox doesn't.

If anyone has had this issue before and found a solution, I'm all ears.

DWB, I'm checking on that now. It doesn't SOUND like a Strongbox problem, but I'm double checking.

My last two emails to Elias have details info with some IP info. Everywhere else is catching the complete IP. I don't see you on ICQ but I'm on or you can mail me. Really need to get this one worked out, thanks for getting back to me.

Jesus christ what shitty support. Have to post in a public forum for this shit.:1orglaugh

raymor 02-09-2013 09:49 PM

I'm sorry we didn't have anyone in the office today. I've emailed you.
In a case like this, please feel free to call - we have local numbers for various countries posted on the web site. They all forward to my cell phone or Ali's if nobody is on the office.

Just FYI, at least half of what you see posted here has jack to with Strongbox - people break their CMS, or move servers and update only one of their DNS or whatever, then they come to us. When they don't like our reply, or we don't reply within an hour on a Sunday, they post in here. Since I'm not going to publicly point out that a customer is being dumb, I reply here saying "I've emailed you".

Often "hasn't replied" means "hasn't replied with the answer I want to hear" because we keep telling them that in order for people to log in, your site has to be live. You have to actually register your domain name, for example. One pissed off webmaster just chose a domain name at random, didn't register it, and was mad we couldn't make it magically work for them. That's "Strongbox isn't helping me", half the time.

Someone's whole site will be down because the web host replaced the wrong disk drive, removing the drive with the site on it, and what you see is "people can't log in". Yeah, they can't log into a site that doesn't exist. We explain that to the webmaster and they feel embarrassed, then defensive, then post here.

* of course none of this applies to anyone in this thread.
