I went out to a good friend's house last night for a Christmas/New Years party. He had a chef come to his home and cook us a FANTASTIC duck dinner with an apple Honey Jack sauce that was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!

After dinner a few of us had an impromptu jam session in his basement that he has set up as a recording studio ...

I drank way too much, and smoked way too much hash too .... so I am going to be a lightweight tonight and spend it with the wife and daughter.

+1 here. There are so many alcohol related accidents around here. When you live in the sticks, there's not much else to do besides drink. I might turn on the police scanner tonight and listen to how activate it will actually be.

No, lol. But it's a familiar story for me. Someone else's kids. My g/f goes home over Christmas to stay with her mother, and now wants to bring her teenage son to live with us because his father can't control him.

Just what I don't want or need in my life. I'm a pretty simple guy that doesn't like disruption in the way I live or drama that has nothing to do with me. I'm planning to leave for Florida again soon so the end was inevitable.

I paid a bunch of money one year for a party at Ravens Stadium. Even with a bunch of friends the vibe wasn't right and it sucked. Then we had to wait three hours for a cab. That was the last time I did the formal NYE thing. This year just had a great time with the in laws duck pin bowling for five hours. It was a special event to celebrate the new year but more family oriented and a ton of fun.
