    Hard Drive: Bent Connector Pins

One of my friend's hard drives has a bent connector pin, and the part where it actually connects to the card bit (fucks me what it's called) is loose. All the stores are closed at the moment, so i figured i'd ask here.

Is it possible to fix this, or at the very least, get the info off the disk somehow? 80 gig of stuff he doesn't want to lose!

    Post a pic, cause I don't understand what you're saying (what's loose??).

Should be able to fix it...

See that long line of connector things that join onto the underside of the drive? Still ain't sure if this is making sense, haha. But yeah, one of those has come off, and you can move it about.

This is one of my old drives by the way. I'm back at my place. He managed to get his drive working by getting the pin back into place, but it's obviously on a temporary solution. He's backing up the stuff on another drive.

I had that happen a couple years ago.
