Maybe their credit card cramming caught up with them. Its sad when you signup for one of their sites and get hit with a 120.00 bill to your card.

If it is true its a loss for the scammers and a win for the honest webmasters

that will affect a few progs that use it as their backend.

Babenet has been running this scam for years. These third party front ends I dunno how long they've been around - PieCash was the first one I noticed.

Babenet has somehow been able to always come up with new banking arrangements, must have lots of connections and be very clever to do this.

As Scott Phillips of PinkBits said somewhere - the secret of his biz is flying under the radar screen of VISA, not to grow too big - these front ends Babenet has recruited might have pushed them to that 'too big' level where you stick out like a sore thumb to VISA.

i've seen this happen to Babenet before and they've gotten back up taking credit cards.
