I think I still have 2 or 3 packages of Ramen Noodles from the Hurricane (Sandy) we had here a few months back. Does that count?
I figure if the end of the world happens I'm likely over prepped anyway.. :1orglaugh |
Wow, how original, another 21 december thread!
You thought the 30 others weren't enough? |
I'm ready. Bring on the zombies!!
|
It's been hours into the 21st already and obviously nothing happened. We can forget about this nonsense now. We can stop making threads about it.
Please... |
Why do you assume that all preppers prepp for 21 December?

3 million idiots..
|
it is a good idea to be prepared somewhat...for power outage or something of that nature.
you only need basic supplies for this though. i keep a couple cases of water on hand at all times. i have a box of army rations that will feed 4 for ten days. Other then that a normal household should have enough food to last a few days anyway. Have a source of heat and you are set for a week or so...by then most things will be fixed. IF the world is ending...time to go visit the neighbours..lol |

I am a prepper, but in a very lackadaisical kind of way. I have a good stockpile of some pretty important supplies. But that's it, I don't practice prepping, i don't run drills with my family, I don't speculate when shit is going to hit the fan. I just shop at Costco, like to buy in bulk, and understand that even if nothing disastrous ever happens, it makes sense to have a back up supply of food, water, fuel and warm clothing. Realistically, as a person who enjoys camping and hiking the rest of my prepping only involved organizing the gear I already own into backpacks that can be grabbed in case of emergency. I have no problem with people who call preppers crazy, i have seen the shows, most of them are, but I think anyone who doesn't have the foresight to put some thought into what their course of action in an emergency will be, is more crazy! |

I wasn't built to handle a post-apocalyptic world... If the shit hits the fan, I'm checking out.
|
its 00:25 and nothing happened. I guarantee that the world will not end, FACT
|
Yes I'm bit of a prepper, but only because I live in an active earthquake zone on an island where we'd be fucked for a bit after a bad earthquake...
|
I don't consider myself a prepper, but I do stock food and emergency supplies. That's just common sense. I went through an earthquake in 1989 near San Franscisco and went a few days without power. It's amazing how quickly everything stops - No power, no stores, no stores, no food.
We also has a train carrying propane catch fire last year and most of the town was deserted. All of my friends had to go. When your friends tell you they had no warning and only ten minutes to leave the house.... Well, we now keep "emergency over night" bags in the garage so we can just pull them and dash if needed. |

(I think) I'm prepared for an earthquake, as anyone living in this region should be - as much as one can prepare for such a natural disaster; it's more like survive and endure. However, I figure that if the Mayans couldn't predict their own demise, how accurate is their prediction likely to be about the end... Hasta Manana Baby, :smilie_we ADG |
