Ted (movie) BIIIG dissapointment
 

Anyone seen it?



For me it was a big dissapointment.

Undeveloped characters and a shitty recycling of the FamilyGuy jokes.

I agree with you, so much potential and what a disappointment, rule number 1 if the trailer is good then the movie sucks big time

I don't watch Family Guy and love Mark Wahlberg. I loved it.

it had some "good" parts in it, but overall wasn't all that great. Compared to the other garbage that came out lately it wasn't that bad.
that peter griffin voice is OK for an episode of 20 minutes, but not for an entire 90 minute movie :)

Went to the cinema to see it. Had a couple of funny parts, but that was all. And like has been said most of those parts were in the trailer...

I saw it when it came out and laughed through most of the movie. However, I haven't really thought much about it since.

I also expected more, yet not so bad for a change.

Character Development? What kinda pretentious jerk-off gets up in arms about a lack of character development in a movie about a dope smoking teddy bear?

Yeah, I would've probably really enjoyed "Ernest goes to jail" but the cinematography was seriously lacking. It lacked the depth and use of colors that was found in "Police academy 5"

I almost bought this on blu ray today but I picked up The Dark Knight Rises instead.. Maybe I'll just rent this cause I wasn't sure if it would be worth the $25 for blu ray..

I also enjoyed the catharsis brought on at the end of the Police Academy heptalogy :thumbsup

Thought it was shit.

At times I thought Ted sounded like Peter, other times like Brian. But even if the Peter voice annoyed you, you've got to give him credit for even referencing it at the party when Ted said to all those girls, "Come on, I don't sound that much like Peter Griffin."

Personally, I loved the movie. I thought it was hilarious. If raunchy humor is your thing, then check out Ted. If you expect a life changing, deep, thought provoking movie, then you're looking in the wrong place.

I agree. It had some funny parts but overall the movie was a bit of a let down. The trailer had most of the best/funniest parts of the movie. :(

there were cheap laughs here but if a solid narrative and character development is what you are looking for, seth mcfarlane is not your guy.

did anyone ever tell you that you dont have a sense of humor? that is more likely the issue then the movie itself. you should look into that.

I thought it was funny.. Watched old boy the other day.. That was funny too. I'm into stupid shit.

I enjoyed it. Some of you act like you were expecting a cinematic masterpiece...if you went into it with low expectations and just for some laughs, then you probably were not disappointed :)

On a side note, finally got around to watching Savages last night and I really enjoyed it. Benicio Del Toro was awesome - despite the tons of negative reviews floating around.
