SantaCon 2012 took place this past Saturday on a rainy day in San Francisco.

Come along with ADG Spokesmodel Kila Sakuragi, as she joins in the revelry - SantaCon is part flash mob, part pub crawl, and lots of drunken/stoned fun and festivities featuring hundreds of people dressed as Santa Claus or other yuletide characters.

As I noted, it was a pretty rainy day, but that wasn't about to stop us. Our first destination was Union Square, the center of Downtown San Francisco's shopping and theater district, where Kila immediately started bonding with other SantaCon attendees:

Asian Diva Girls is not about me, it's about the girls, so I rarely appear in photos. However, I'm surprised how many people that know me online think I'm an Asian guy until they meet me in person, lol.

At events, I generally wear a red ballcap with ADG imprinted on it, and a Hawaiian shirt (I grew up in Hawaii), or a tie-dye shirt (usually Grateful Dead):

Domo arigato! It was a bit nipply outside, but Kila's girls were still able to come out and play from time to time.

Kila got real excited when she went by this one bar and looked in the window - she was sure she saw the real Santa pounding a brew.

Thanks! Shooting events is usually fun, but it can be challenging since some things like the weather are out of your control, and when shooting in public you never know how people will react (although people in San Francisco are used to a little freakiness, as you might imagine).

In 2012, Asian Diva Girls participated in over a dozen events, from simple affairs such as SantaCon, where we just show up and shoot, to elaborate stage shows, with numerous performers.

It helps to keep things interesting, since it is way different than shooting scenes. Now if I could only find a way to monetize my live events, lol. :Oh crap
