There's a few people around here that I cannot believe have not been banned eons ago. Admittedly, I've lost a little respect for GFY administration in how some of the idiots continue to run amok here with seemingly little consequences to their actions, all the while further cementing GFY as little more than a time waster for the most part.

It's rather ironic to me that the "biggest board in adult" does perhaps the least amount of business (or certainly losing business market share), in my observation, whereas other boards are becoming a lot more targeted to serious webmasters, advertisers, and general business. I see a lot of familiar business faces on other boards more often than I see here these days.

well he keeps making up shit about that thing KS made that seems to work very well and who knows. This can be a nice place but the people who post 90% hate shit just ruin it for others. Yeah you can block them but they just move on to the next person and try to stir up shit. There are still a lot more webmaters on here then people say or guess. Lets keep it that way

Heh, I am not saying it sucks any more than it ever did. I am saying I am noticing more and more business faces showing up more frequently on other boards than I have previously.

Certainly I have seen the level of my own business transactions (content acquisitions, sponsorships, direct ad buys, site acquisitions, etc) all increase significantly as a result of other boards.

Indeed, there was a time that even in the face of mediocrity and endless nonsense, GFY was still a predominant source of business in the adult space. These days, however, I don't see it as much. I still do biz here, as I am sure others do. But I see a LOT more business as a result of other boards that have a more focused target on business and the industry. Substance over quantity.

I don't have any history with him -- he has history with me. I just completely ignore the guy. The accusations he spreads aren't ok, and if you're ok with them, you either haven't seen them or are just as bad.

And I don't appreciate the implication I've ever gone "loco" or could even be remotely compared to this guy. You're losing touch with reality if you think that's the case.

He was calling me a scammer today for promoting a program for a couple months that never left BETA and had 1 unpaid webmaster who just bumped the thread saying he got paid and the original check was sent to his old address. Its unusual that a troll gets under my skin but PenusFlogger's epic stupidity combined with his destructive comments made me want to use him as target practice for a paintball gun.

Here's the sad truth: he's made MANY comments over the past few weeks that COULD have resulted in a ban.

Today, he also accused Killswitch and me of having profiles on gay dating websites ... and then, he actually went and set those profiles up, using our real names.

The guy is obviously sick in the head on so many levels ... he could have been banned for any of the stuff he's done lately.

It's a really fine line. You don't WANT to ban people, and as an admin you have to try to stay impartial to arguments and fights.

Pretty stupid .. but if you saw half the e-mails and ICQ's from the guy, it's even worse than his board profile. I haven't responded to anything in a long time, and he still keeps going, he's like a retarded Energizer bunny of sorts.

If he were in the U.S., the legal ramifications on just HALF the stuff he does would put him in jeopardy for years.

I already see him posting again under an older account. How long until he has a melt-down with it? Time will tell, I guess.

I understand that. What I fail to understand is the inability by the powers that be to recognize that GFY is losing business discussion marketshare to other sites. I believe it is likely due to this site being less focused on business, and more focused on drama and immature nonsense -- largely by those I bet likely not even IN the industry, or hobbyists at best, looking for weekend beer money. Meanwhile smaller boards have really taken a chunk of business market share where GFY would otherwise own that. There is no dedicated business section here (except for mainstream). Thus, any real business discussions usually get buried into the endless amounts of drama and bullshit that have nothing to do with business, or even the industry.

It's just an interesting scenario to me that I enjoy such a ridiculously lopsided business stream on other boards and business focused communities compared to what GFY seems to generate for me these days. The last two years in particular has really been noticeable. Just a personal observation is all. It makes no difference to me as I still do a lot of business, just that most of it happens elsewhere these days.
