Wow AlOT of sites today lost their traffic. WTF IS happening?
 

Im observing 3 sites which arent mine.. all got their traffics slashed. Anyone else?

Yes, that's right. Google implemented some new algorithm for the search engines that's heavily reducing porn results in google image searches unless you are very explicit with your search words. Just type "Porn" in google images and see what I mean :disgust

I have also seen massive drops in the recently past and bounced back.

I'm getting a malware warning in Chrome for both of the sites being tracked.

Yeah I got a nice hit in traffic on a couple sites.. And all my stuff is clean.

Yeah it's because they have a malware infection and most browsers won't let you go on the site, instead they just display a warning.

What happened with those sites above pretty much happened to me. I lost 66% of my google search traffic (not image search) since the 11th. Sucks ass.

Lots of other people are talking about it in other webmaster forums and experiencing similar results. They are saying it is part of Penguin and that now they see low content spammy sites at the top of their search queries. It's like Panda all over again.

My site is clean and with panda I got hit hard and then recovered by continuing to do what I always did. I am hoping that the same thing will happen again.

These sites belong to my friend.. Just dropped him an email. Not sure he's even noticed the malware warning yet. This has happened at least once before and I think it was ad network related.

For those two sites, in all but one case, it's an OpenX issue. Adserver uses legitimate JavaScript injection, Google bots see it as malware. If it hits your ad server, as it did mine, you're fucked - and not in the gentle way Heather would with a Chainsaw. Because it's not hitting two sites, it's hitting 20.

Just checked stats of all my sites.. blogs, tgps, tubes - no change in traffic

Yep ... seeing the same things when I search adult terms. I guess/hope it means people will have to learn how to be more specific when they search for porn.
