Anyone have Virgin mobile service?
looks like they are running on Sprint networks.
Crazy good rates - $35 per month for unlimited talk/text with 2.5gb data included. Anyone have experience with Virgin Mobile? |
I never tried it virgin mobile. You can wait and see more other replies.

Virgin is Sprint prepaid.

Unlimited talk/text and 2.5gb data doesn't seem to match the chart dbs.us posted but from similar claims from other providers such as straight talk, there is actually a limited data usage not advertised. Otherwise as long as you get service in your area, it would seem like a good deal.

I've been using it for like two years now. If sprint works for you, virgin will work. I'm grandfathered in at $25 a month :)

I was looking at some brochures at the mall today. What's the point in being in contracted service anymore? Just the phone selection? |
Don't do it. Voice of experience with Sprint and Virgin. Shit service and if you put billing on automatic they will bill you months after canceling and when you call to complain they will try and talk you into coming back, crycrcycrycrycrywhinewhinewhine. Fuckwats.

I used to pay $76 a month with Tmobile and when they were going to be bought out by ATT I jumped ship ASAP. $25 a month now for the same level of service, I only use about 80 minutes a month... the rest is data/text/email. Really couldn't be happier, although my parent's house is in a dead zone where I only get one bar but I don't go over there to be tied to my phone anyways. When I was going to make the switch, I bought a $14 virgin flip phone and put a couple bucks on it. Carried it everywhere, made a few calls, made sure shit worked before I jumped ship. Really cheap way to test out the network if anyone's thinking of switching :) |

I pick up the top up cards at the store, or I just use my card to pay for a month when I need to. I don't let them do the auto billing and I've never had a problem. BTW Boost Mobile is another sprint prepaid option, and if you talk a lot it might end up cheaper in the long run. They have a plan where the billing gets cheaper every six months until the unlimited plan is $35 or $40 a month. |

Very good in the UK. Been with them a couple of years now, and they're always happy to cut you a good deal when it comes round to renewing.
|
Oh, and yeah... for $35/month it only includes 300 minutes of talk which I never use up (still got my trusty landline).
For the $55 a month (for unlimited talk) I'd go with straight talk istead of virgin and get a phone that ran on their Verizon service lines (some of their phones use ATT and some Verizon - you can even bring your own!). |
i lick veirgins

I have my daughters on it and works great! :pimp

Go with pageplus (verizon network) instead.

I use Virgin and have the $40/month plan. I love it.
You have to buy the phone with no discount but the savings add up quickly. |
sounds great
thanks everyone. the unlimited data has a foot note, up to 2.5gb at regular speed, after that its possible they will slow down your data rate to something around 250kbs until you hit the next billing cycle, then its reset. i can live with that.. |
