The one thing that pisses on most of these conspiracy theories is that in general, people can not keep secrets.

Ok. This has got me stumped. If you are expecting the world to end December 21st - what time exactly on the 21st ? At the moment it's 7.37 am 13th December in New Zealand BUT it's only 8.37 am on 12/12/12 ( previous day ) in Hawaii. So, is the world going to end on the 21st or 22nd New Zealand time. Did the Mayans say End of World 21/12/12 US PST or GMT or British Summer Time or New Zealand time !!! You see, if they secretly wrote down End Of World 21st NEW ZEALAND or AUSTRALIAN time, well it's gonna catch the USA by suprise because you will still be on the 20th. If it was Mayan time ( where the main temple was ) our end of world ( Australian, New Zealand and other countries ) will be on 22/12/12 and that just ain't got the same buzz to it.
