That's a real shame. I remember seeing him when I was about 10, he was presenting Holst's 'The Planets' at the Barbican in London. What a legend. RIP man.

I watched his "Sky at night" programme last week and knew he didn't have long to go. I didn't think it would be so soon after i saw that mind you.
He knew his stuff alright, and seemed like an all round good guy. He will be missed... |
