On 13 EU candidate countries endorsing the US position regarding Iraq, Chirac said "It is not really responsible behavior. It is not well brought up behavior. They missed a good opportunity to keep quiet."

Romania's President deemed Chirac's remarks "irrational."

Chirac basically just said, "You shouldn't have disagreed with me, now I won't let you into my club." Very mature.

The problem is, that club has a lot of other members, including quite a few countries that have sided with the US on this.
