Smoking cigarettes is the worst thing anybody can do.. It is LITERALLY the only thing that is harmful to people around you, when you do it.

Drinking doesn't hurt people standing next do you, neither does drugs... Cigarettes does though.

Be considerate of the people around you, and those people wouldn't preach to you how bad smoking is. :2 cents:

I hate the people that quit smoking and start smoking the electric cigarettes. I saw a news article about some guy in Florida who was sucking on his electric cigarette and it blew up in his mouth and knocked out the remaining teeth in his mouth.

I think its great if someone quits smoking... good for you.... but don't preach to me about quitting and how much better you feel since you quit, that makes me wanna have a cigarette and blow smoking in your face :)

i have no problem with smokers, i have lots of smoker friends but goddamn, don't smoke in your house. i have pretty much stopped visiting friends who smoke in their house. it stinks and i feel like im gonna die after a couple hours of hotboxing everyone's second hand. smoke outside at least people! you stink, your furniture stinks and your clothes stink.

Under the influence of a drug is not the same as doing it.

You can drink a bottle of tequila get in a car and kill people, but that's not a result of the tequila, it's the result of bad choices while under the influence and the tequila didn't kill those people.

But you smoking a cigarette while standing beside me in public could result in me getting lung cancer.

Now if any other "drug" can do that, I'd be interesting in hearing.

Meth, Heroin, Coke, whatever can do that if I'm trying to suck in every single bit of smoke you exhale, and to be honest how many of those people stand outside their jobs every couple hours for 15 minutes doing it? None... So it's less harmful to average people than cigarettes.

I would have less hate towards smokers if they were more considerate of others. There's laws in place, no smoking in public places, must be 25 feet from a public building to smoke, etc... But smokers don't obey those laws, they stand right outside of the doors of buildings and chain smoke. Why can't they go 25 feet? It's too cold, boohoooo!!

Let me just ignore the fact that I can get lung cancer, because you know, don't want a smoker who has bad circulation to get cold while they kill themselves!

Cars produce far more toxic fumes than ciggys and the tyres on cars are even worse You have rubber particles in the atmosphere from tyres plus they give off carbon dioxide

I lol when i see people running along side busy roads thinking they are keeping fit while all the while they are breathing in far more rubber particles and other traffic pollutants then what they would just walking

1. Are you around people smoking those drugs regularly often enough that it matters to be considered harmful. I think the point is cigarette second hand smoke is a more common issue. Pot, heroin and meth second hand smoke is not as normal when going outside for some air at a bar or work.
2. Pot, Heroin and Meth should probably have separate categories.
3. I wonder if any states or countries have legalized cigarettes, Meth or Heroin as a medicinal drug to help combat certain diseases. If so please point me in the right direction to read up on this. In other words marijuana is so unhealthy it is used as a aid to help cure certain ailments???

and regardless whether or not you think people that do smoke are complete idiots, its an opinion not a fact. I have many family friends that are professors, doctors, lawyers etc. that smoke and they are most certainly not idiots.

Once again, not directly related to the act of drinking. If we go by that logic then that means that smoking cigarettes kills more people than drinking due to the fact that most people who are unstable enough to murder are most likely smokers.

no yes yes no ... but i think his unsaid point lies with there are no heroin, crack or meth bars here. THere isnt an abundance of people smoking these things outside of restaurant entrances and lounges...
