Chrome vs firefox?

anyone? tnx

VenusBlogger 12-06-2012 12:32 AM

CHROME...

But ONLY install plugins and extensions from TRUSTED SOURCES and people.

I installed the KILLSWITCH extension and it completely ruined my installation.

Impossible to trust a FAKE nick registered in October 2012, like KILLSWITCH and putting up an extension in public forum.

Just use common sense. But CHROME is the way to go, for sure.

Personally I liked Chrome but one of it's downsides is that it's Popup Killer is one of the worst. Half the time, it let's alot of popups come through. In the way that the code of the browser is written, it cannot deal with multiple popups if a site tries to pop up 3, it blocks the first one but it can't stop 1 or both of the other pop ups.

Aside from this pet peeve of mine, it's a nice browser. But I use Firefox now over Chrome as it's popup blocker is far superior than Chrome's :)

Asparaguss 12-06-2012 01:07 AM

Yep go with Chrome.

FetishSeller 12-06-2012 01:22 AM

That's what I think - What can Google say about me that people don't already know?

"He seems to masturbate a lot" - Why do people care?

XXXInsights 12-06-2012 03:57 AM

kane 12-06-2012 06:11 AM

I used to use FF and it started freezing up, closing down and having all kinds of issues. I re-installed it and did what I could but it still had problems so I just switched to Chrome and it has worked great ever since.

TheSenator 12-06-2012 06:25 AM

Chrome because I like the Developer Tools.

I use FF and will not use any kind of Google application other than Gmail and am getting rid of those. I guarrantee you that Google has embedded methods to track everything that you do in Chrome, right down to the last keystroke and G has enough information as it is.

I will do nothing to help Google maintain its effective control of the Internet.

I will not supplicate to the Evil One!

Chrome, although I'd have suggested Rockmelt, it's handy with it's extensions :2 cents:

CIVMatt 12-06-2012 07:41 AM

I was diehard Firefox for many years, but switched to Chrome because it supports Retina displays (yes I know Firefox has on in beta)

Love it... Chrome is the only thing I'll ever use for now.

fitzmulti 12-06-2012 08:21 AM

Firefox. Always been reliable for me...I have the others, but 99% of the time use Firefox.

fris 12-06-2012 08:25 AM

I've moved over to Chrome. Loving it.

seeandsee 12-06-2012 09:56 AM

Firefox 1-4.x then i switched to Chrome and now i am again on FF with version 17

AnimeFevers 12-06-2012 09:57 AM

Sorry firefox is the best :)

RyuLion 12-06-2012 09:58 AM

Chrome for life!!

Tom_PM 12-06-2012 09:58 AM

I used chrome for a while and got sick of it auto updating then becoming buggy and bloated, also it has it's own flash version which you can't roll back or prevent from updating. This is important on an older machine with XP. The latest stable version of flash for a weak machine on XP is almost a year old now. I don't use any add on's at all either so it's just the core install I'm talking about.

Firefox is fine.

Chrome is just a Google branded Chromium which is their open source browser, all code is visible, and you can even use apps to check to see what your connection is doing and SEE that Google isn't "spying on you".

You guys don't realize Google isn't out there to fuck you over as a webmaster... Stop wearing a tinfoil hat and realize this and you'll be better off. :2 cents:
