oh yes, I remember, does that mean I'm really old??

Penny24Seven 12-05-2012 08:36 PM

lol what the hell made you think of that?

bronco67 12-05-2012 08:40 PM

Remember when you took a picture -- and even if it was an out of focus foot it would go in mom's scrapbook, next to all the other crappy pictures. Because you knew you had only 24 shots and it would cost $12.99 to get them developed.

Now everyone from ages 7 and up with a cell phone are able to snap pictures all day, then never look at those pictures and accidentally(or intentionally) delete them or maybe lose them to a hdd crash.

I never noticed one in the city, but we use to just drop our film off at the local pharmacy back in the day.

Lonny 12-06-2012 01:06 PM

I remember them as well. In fact I lived a block or two from one on Victory Blvd in North Hollywood back in the 70's.

Moms was all into taking family pics on her Kodak cam that had a reusable bulb.
Went to that place at least 2 times a month.

Then she fell in love with her Polaroid cam where you shock the film for it to develop faster, don't know if that trick really worked, any who that Polaroid ended those walks to the Photo Hut trips real quick.

pornguy 12-06-2012 01:27 PM

LeRoy 12-06-2012 01:27 PM
