What's your bounce rate?
 

Just checking analytics and saw my bouncerate in a in a blink: 7.05%

I thought: ??? It used to be around 30/35%

I checked back in time and found out that the day i last changed my headerdesign and some other things the bouncerate dropped instantly from 30/35% to an average of 5.92% over the period since the design was changed.

Of course it is nothing new but it's still cool to see that you can measure changes that you make.

I love statistics...

35 should be target,,, anything below and it's gravy. With a lot of traffic at 7% it should be making some decent coin...

I have a question I've been wondering about for a while, if y'all don't object...according to google my bounce rate is close to the 'target' range listed above (since month 2 hovering between mid-high 30's for the past few months-it's a pretty new site), yet according to alexa my bounce rate has consistently been way higher at almost 50% :(

is google considered more accurate than alexa?

I like to believe that Alexa is correct... but that's only because i went from 3.000.000 to 48,361 in the U.S. and that trip looked damn good:-) and we all want to believe what looks good:-)

But i don't believe it is very very accurate, i think google is more accurate... You have to put some google code on your server (correct me if i'm wrong) to use google analytics...so google can see what happens on your site.

What i can see from my personal experience is that Alexa can smell movements with a little delay but only the movements and not a accurate numbers...

Yes it should make decent coin... and the conversions are great so it does make decent coin... BUT... it should be making more coin and more affiliates could make coin if it wasn't for the fact that a lot of them only want to push ccbill because the think they will be having money sitting in epoch... Yeah well... if you have 10 visitors per day to send... then you will be having money sitting at epoch indeed...

btw 7% was only yesterday... if i take the period since i changed the design in september and now... then the average rate is 5.92

But i should feel lucky with my affiliates too... if they would only send me gaytraffic i'm sure my rate would be close to 100%. So i quess it's a combination between good traffic and a good looking site... matching traffic... traffic coming home:-). If i would be buying trafic i'm sure the rate as well the conversion rates would drop...

So that's why it's called ANALytics... because google tends to fuck you in the ass from time to time:)

Alexa is about as accurate as the most inaccurate thing ever.
