I am going to retire my ICQ soon and join the 1990's
 

Seems like my ICQ crashes every 10 minutes these days. I will be on ICQ for the next 2-3 weeks then I am putting in out to pasture.

My new IM of choice will be skype add me jason*hahahahahahaha71

use miranda, open source, light, lots of addons and frequent updates. doesnt crash, and you can use multiple protocols. why would you limit your contact options is beyond me.

Skype is too mainstream but i see no alternative.

I connect to ICQ through imo.im - never had any issues.

I use ICQ daily and never have any problems with it at all. I'm running Win7.

I also use Skype as well.

I started using skype a few months ago. Seems like at this point I use skype more than icq. Guess the time has come.

I'm still using ICQ. No problems at all.

Thought about using Skype...but when I see what it's done to my teenagers computer I'm gonna pass.
The thing is a resource hog, and it's damn near impossible to turn it off.

I use Skype now, but i still leave ICQ running most days...

I run ICQ, MSN, AIM, Google Talk, Facebook and Yahoo all through pidgin.

I also run Skype.

Problem solved. Reach me anywhere and I just have two programs running.

i used icq in '97
it was a terrific way to cyber back then. msn ran some great forums, easy hookups.
yes i know most of you guys and girls were in diapers back then.
now i have icq on my iphone, works just fine.

Skype has a terrible search system to look back at old chats.
Use trillian and connect it to all the platforms.
