Marketing for a Strip Club

I do not think this belongs in mainstream as I am not selling watches here.

I just landed a new job as social media/internet marketer for a strip club. I have begun creating content (pics and video), watermarking all images/vids with the clubs website, phone number, and address. I will post said content on all of the new social networking pages I create.

To start I am creating a facebook, twitter, youtube, and new pages on the top social networks. This has been a job in itself lol. Down the road I will continue to add new pages to my stash and maintain them on a regular basis. I am also creating a new website for the club:)

I am curious to know if there are any others out there who do social media/internet marketing for stripclubs. I have been in internet marketing for a few years and know the basics, but there is always room to learn. I need advice on a few things such as how to keep things organized. I have to make daily updates to some pages, and eventually will start a routine. How often do you update your social networks, blogs, websites? How do you get your clients/potential clients involved on your pages (polls, contests, etc) I have alot of ideas but id love all of the advice I can get.

Strip clubs are so locale-specific that you are really going to have to target your social media efforts differently than if it were a broader entity. I would be looking at things like Yelp, Craigslist, local radio station sites, etc. for promotion. Definitely keep a mainstream (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) presence, but focus your more real-time content on local mediums.

Thanks Tent!!! You are right, it is certainly different. Marketing this club has its pros and cons, we are in a tourist town so people travel here from across the world. I want to attract locals, but I also want to attract tourists. The club has its own niche, which could either help or harm. It definately stands out from the rest of the clubs here, but I certainly have my work cut out for me lol. Time for me to get back to it.

PPC with local targeting to a coupon print out for buy one get one free drink or 1/2 off pass. Then you can track if your marketing spend there is working.

I would think if you knew that $50 spend daily brought in an extra 20 people a night and the average person spends $200 your boss would be fucking handing you cash saying spend more please!

Being a big fan of strip clubs and I feel that I've been to some of the best...the following things have caught my eye by finding out about them as well as reasons of going & going back:

- advertising in local entertainment newspaper, like the one's that promote upcoming concerts, shows, etc. Usually these newspapers are released once a week and free to the locals.

- discount coupons on your website (if their is an entrance fee)

- 3 for the price of 1 or 2 lap dances once every hour (return rate might go high with that)

Good luck with the club! :thumbsup

Also, some of these local newspapers have an online version as well so maybe you can see about getting something set up with them as well.
