Quebec Separatists step on Canadian Flag in Montreal
Can't believe this is starting up again... |
incroyable...

Quebec is the annoying little cousin nobody likes.
Personal experience growing up right across from Quebec, literally 500 meters away, has taught me to take a lot of their banter like a grain of salt. It's a french thing, They whine, bitch, moan and hollar for fair treatment and respecting their culture. TO be fair, I know.. not all are like that.. but generally, they want everything for nothing. I sometimes think they lay awake at night thinking about what they will ask for next. I just want to remind every french person who whines about Canada this, English that, blah blah blah this and that of one.... very.... important... fact. The English won the war. Shut the fuck up Frenchie. Their same kind of thinking is like a cancer to my province of NB. They want EVERYTHING their way. NOBODY can work in government, public or service industry unless they are "bilingual", which is a farce since there's MANY positions held with French-only speaking employees. Which I've witnessed first all my life. They have pushed for these "language" laws for years to a point where if you are white, English and not living in Quebec or Dieppe with a business sign in English, you are total trash with NO human rights. I've just about had it with Quebec and Acadians. These idiots are now pushing to let all the English-only medical workers off with a pink slip to hire "bilingual" employees.. aka, if they speak french.. with English or not.. they have a job.... even in 100% ENGLISH communities like I live in. Dealing with anyone who's french in the education system, government, public service, etc is like pulling teeth, 90% of the time they flat out refuse to accommodate for the one English person in the room but will file human right violations motions if it's a french person in an English-only environment. /end rant Not a personal attack on Quebecers or Acadians as a whole. I know.. many of you are just like everyone else. Decent, humble human beings but the bad apples in power have totally ruined any possible peace between the two communities. I guess I'm also jaded.. I heard all my life how when my great-grampa and grampa went to ww1 and ww2, the Acadians and Quebeckers from northern NB and southern Quebec hid in the woods to avoid draft to protest the 1755 expulsion and similar sentiment was felt thought the Acadian peninsulas during gulf wars 1 and 2 |
Question) … What is Quebec famous for?
Answer) … Having the largest French population that has never surrendered to the Germans. . |
hahahahahahahahaha good one L-PINK
Keep in mind guys that's it only a small percentage or retards. "The eternal looser" syndrome ! Canadian Palestinians that make us look like dumb asses. Fuck them. Bunch of loosers. What pisses me off is that they get good coverage. Estie de gang de toton unilingue ! |

it is wrong that I find the video a little bit funny? the scarves wrapped around faces like they're engaged in some kind of revolutionary act of dissent, cuz stepping on a piece of fabric is so hard core. Does anyone actually get upset at this kinda ish anymore? At this point it's more quaint cultural ritual than anything, really. |
I'm sure that 100% of those dumbasses enjoy the benefits of the federal government on a monthly basis.

I think this was posted in another thread and it made me laugh, but seems appropriate in this instance.

Oy. I often miss Montreal because of its charms, but I can't say I miss the tension I'd feel every time someone detected my slightly anglo accent.

In every society you have ignorant people who have no grasp on reality. I appreciate their passion but everywhere else in the world countries are trying to break down barriers and in Quebec they want to put them up. They can't win the war so they launch small language battles with silly language laws. It's a complete waste of time and taxpayer money in a province that is ripe with corruption, I guess it provides a nice distraction away from the real issues that plague the province.
I love Montreal and Quebec, having 2 languages and the cultures. It's a shame that I don't feel like I'm wanted in a place I grew up in, made a life in and pay an insane amount of taxes to. |
luckily our flag is way bigger than one Douche
|
i support their right to protest...even their right to want to leave.
However it is that, leaving...just march to airport and go home. I am sure things are better wherever else in the world they would like to call home. LEave the roads, the money, the healthcare...the hospitals, and schools, hydro infrastructure...the list goes on and on. Leave all these things and go home to where ever the other flag you picked up was from, that wasn't Canadian when you went down to protest. Go there, then write a written apology when you beg to come back in a few months. |
think how foolish and unproductive it is to hate their own country that they are living in, despite living exceedingly happy lives compared to pretty much anywhere else in the world.
People are starving and they are complaining about not enough people speaking their language.. fucking embarrassing. |
Canada should have stood up to them long ago instead of giving in on everything, they are petulant children and we did the wrong thing, giving them lollipops every time they have had a tantrum - I'd actually like to see them start up again with some violence, so that we could roll tanks over them to shut them up once and for all.
No country on the face of the earth has treated a cultural/lingual(linguistic?) minority better than Canada has treated the French - they have all the rights, freedoms and opportunities of English Canada and then a whole lot more. Anglos helped make Montreal one of the world's great cities, culturally and economically. What kind of idiots chase the best and the brightest out of of their home because they have a different background and first language? I'll tell you what kind of idiot, a RACIST. |

Honestly seperatists are a dying breed of dreamer idiots. Not even worth to make a fuss about an idiot burning a flag. |
I'm not a fan of Quebec. I think we should let them go, but they need to pay their share of the debt first. Start paying up and then you are welcome to leave.
Oh and we are taking all the English French signs down which are a joke since in Quebec there are no English signs. |

I think burning your flag or harming it in any way is just disgraceful. It's not just the US flag, but the flag of your nation. It's one thing to say you are upset with your country and or your government, but it's another thing to disgrace it. If you are that upset, leave.
I also don't understand why state such as Quebec would want to become it's own nation. Clearly they fail to understand the benefits of being part of a larger country. If they want to leave, fuck 'em. |

In my opinion, there's nothing really wrong with stomping the Canadian flag as a form of protest. What kills me though is that I don't think they really know what they are protesting against. And EVEN if they had a valid point, the fact that they are doing it with their faces hidden makes that point, pointless. Hiding behind a mask while demanding change is cowardly to me. |

i never really understood the obsession with flags... who cares that some arabs are burning us flag or quebecer's canada's. let them. no dammage done and they're happier and less likely to blow something up.

He probably would have kicked the shit out of those protesters. "During France's July Revolution of 1830, Lafayette declined an offer to become the French dictator" again, awesome dude. |
